Fun moment to share.
I just started using the standard Mass Driver on my Min Assault. It's not great which is exacerbated by the fact that I'm not good with it yet. I'm still trying to figure out how the heck to use the reticule lines to judge aiming angle.
I killed a scout at about 15m with a shot that landed slightly behind and to the side of him.
He was LAUNCHED towards me and I turned and watched as he flew over my head and landed about 15m behind me.
A 30m rag doll. It was so funny, arms flailing and all. I wonder what it looked like from his perspective?
I hope the ride made up for the death.

It is the best part of the Mass Driver. I don't consciously use the reticule, just kind of wing it and I seem to do alright. I sometimes switch to my rifle when I am using a Commando, sight the guy in and then just make the elevation changes. I've made some long shots that way. I use the MD quite a bit since the arrival of the Age of Scouts.

Did the same with a PLC the other day. Hit a MinHeavy in the legs and he flew past me.
What you just described is a daily thing for my Flaylock doh.

the ragdoll is what also hooked me.. i would often yell out "let me help you down those stairs!" or "let me help you across the street" as they ragdolled.. it was golden age of when the MD could kill a heavy in one clip.. also a very iconic wep for a min logi

I have a way easier time with the Cannon, rather than the Driver.
Must be because I've been trained by the proper people over at Gallente combat labs. |

I remember, once I got shot by a railgun and I just kept going and going, and when I came down, I was so far into the redline. Only then did the death screen come up.

Yeah, me too. I think its the projectile velocity and the lol factor. I tend to be more try hard with the mass driver.

Little do some know, we didn't always have ragdoll.
Still one of the best things ever put into this game. Period. Nothing makes the game as enjoyable as this does sometimes

Some heavy was running sideways-on to my tank, I fire, hit him, and he flies forward at mach speed with his arms and legs bending behind his back, he looked like a "flying" star.
That moment when you mow down a proto Caldari assault suit with a militia laser rifle.

MD + Breach SMG on a Min assault = annoying.
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....
