I only have lvl 3 in it. I've been playing around with the Breach assault rifle and have been able to hipfire people from 30 meters away, effectively. (I also just finished upgrading my Assault Rifle Sharpshooter skill to lvl5, so that might be part of the reason)
So has anyone else done any actual testing to see the Gallante's bonuses effectiveness on dispersion/hipfire/range? |

At lvl 5 it basically turns the TAR into a semi-auto, higher damage, higher ROF, less accurate, MUCH lower clip size, much more ADS range BAR. |

As far as I know, it applies when you use a gallante assault suit. Your starting race does not matter at all (although it probably should for FW, but that's off topic). |

For the Breach and TAC the gal assault bonus is pretty useless as both weapons already have pretty good dispersion control.
TRY IT ON A DUVOLLE AR or Allotec Burst AR and you WILL feel the difference.
Next to Sharpshooter skill, a Duvolle AR in the hands of a Gal Assault is a weapon to be feared. Laser like accuracy all the way to its max effective range.
Its not like the bonus is useless, you are just using it with the wrong weapon.
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

Maybe it isnt completely useless,but take a look at amarr and minmatar assault bonuses; theirsare just way better. Ccp need to cchange cal and gal bonus, they are not bad but they are not even good.

I'd like to see the cal assault get a reduction to kick, so that the RR can be used for CQC by that dropsuit. I would also like to see the gal assault get 2m/per level of additional range on the AR. I think these bonuses fit well with the general theme of the effective min and amarr bonuses (see below for summary):
Amarr: Reduction to heat buildup (mitigates primary liability of weapons) Min: Increased clip size (mitigates primary liability of weapons) Cal: Reduction in kick (mitigates primary liability of weapons) Gal: Small increase in range (mitigates primary liability of weapons)

im with on this post bro why cause I using same gun as well. but my assault suits is not even at lvl 3 but only at lvl 1 right now.
also my gun levels not even prototype either. put this way the breach assault rifle has no kick if your ADS but if your hipfiring it may kick just a bit .
lasty im loving this game Once im finished with this character im ranked him up all roles Logi , scout , commando etc
it may take a while but I have all the time I need

This is a nice thought although the proposed changes mean not only does the bonus mitigate the weapons' primary liability but it also allows them to operate outside of their intended niche.
EDIT: not saying I'm against said proposal, just why I don't think it would happen.

-Aramis But those liabilities doesn't shift their weapon design. The ARARis designed to be the shortest of range from the Rifles, so if you increase it, that kinda goes down the drain.
What I find is a liability is the ammo reserves, or I need more RoF. The Kalente's or even the Balac's would be a decent start to be at level 5. |
