We've seen time and time again that players will just use a weapon or suit because it is better than everything else.
How many people used the laser before the viziam had a typo? How many people flew dropships before missile turrets got a buff? How many people actually used the caldari logi or scout for non-slayer playstyles?
And all of a sudden there's a huge change in the meta with the buff to breach ARs. Caldari Scouts get chewed up, I've seen breach SMGs more times on the kill feed in the past week than in my entire Dust career, and I no longer get killed from across the map by people I can't even see using RRs
The least popular weapons have never been used unless they get drastic buffs...but that got me thinking
Would you use your least favorite weapon if it all of a sudden became a competitive option? Plasma Cannon, Mass Driver, Nova Knives, Ion Pistol, Laser Rifle...have you even tried these weapons in 1.9 yet or are you just a bandwagon scrub that instantly started using a BrAR because everyone else was?
What if the PLC had a larger splash area and could two-shot medium frames? What if you didn't need a minmatar scout to kill things with nova knives? What if the Mass Driver didn't need to hit a scout 4 times to actually kill them, or could scare off sentinels?

So just give a short reply as to what your least favorite weapon is, why you don't like it, and what sort of simple buff or change would make it useful or interesting or competitive to you.
Personally, I love the PLC, but hate the fact that you have to reload after every shot and it can take 3-4 good hits to kill a relatively high HP suit. I want an assault variant (200 splash, 2 shots, very low direct damage) or at least to see the thing buffed to 400 splash at proto. The officer variant not only has a splash of 400, but can fire two shots and has additional ammo capacity (effectively tripling the dps because you only need to reload every 2 shots), so a normal variant with 400 damage won't step on the officer's toes at all.

Probably nova knives.
I'm not really a melee type person, much less for knives/daggers.
I prefer axes, maces, cutlasses, and spears if I'm going to do melee.
Please, make my Opus pretty...

Trust me, the PLC DOES NOT need any buffs. It is already borderline OP right now in the right hands.
Most people in this game are Aim Assist using hold your hand scrubs. Hence why they flock to rifles left and right. Weapons like the Forge gun, Plasma Cannon, Mass Driver, Flaylock require a skilled aim shot. Ok the mass driver is not in the most favour right now, neither is the flaylock but still.
I blame the industry, I was watching some footage of Destiny PVP yesterday and it seems you dont even have to barely aim in that game.
This is what people mean about the dumbing down to appease larger audiences. Making it easy, putting in aim assist..... having an M rating.... all things that make the game kid friendly. All of this at the expense of actual skill.

I only use it in my speed gal scout fit when in a PC I have to run fast to the city to drop links and hack an estabilished objective; I suicide when/if I take the objective to switch to mah AR.
Then the only thing that would turn me into a shotty ***** is PC.

I use/used AR/ionp which are easily the worse weapons in the game the ion shined for a few weeks, but it is even worse than it was before the buff now and the Ar is just horrid I don't care what anyone says it is garbage. I know because I often pick militia weapons over my pro AR.. and I wish It were an exaggeration. Before the buff the ion pistol had strong dispersion that made it hard to kill will it now it has bad dispersion and locks up on reload.
I use all the other weapons also my commando uses LR/sg scout ion/nk/bp/sl I have tested everything.

Breach AR.
Because after having every gun at prototype its hilarious watching FoTM chasers skilling into their next gun while I run another proto counter to it. And besides, FoTM gets really boring very quickly. Melee Scouts are far more fun.

I have to disagree Attim, unless something changed within the last week or so. I was on my dropship alt a couple of weeks ago and I had a swarmer kill me at 470m. (At least that is what was said when I died) and I have no reason to think the distance calculation is in error.
If I have it happen again I will take a screen shot of the kill screen.
It is funny however that a light AV weapon is possibly more powerful than a Heavy AV weapon , certainly it has more range! That's wrong in my opinion. The forge should be the ultimate AV weapon.

Seriously considering going minmatar scout and nova knives here soon. Mainly for hacking, partially for fun.
