For some reason the recoil of this weapon does not match up AT ALL with the actual path of the projectiles. Why?
Probably balance. A similar recoil mechanic has been used in other shooters to make weapons only visually inaccurate.
So to anyone that calls the Assault Scrambler Rifle bad at range, just remember that you should aim where the center of your screen is; not where the sights are pointung after the first shot.

The ASCR fortunately doesn't have barrel climb but it does kick all over the place for such a low zoom weapon that's supposed to be used at range. I remember back when my Carthum was my baby. Holy **** that thing destroyed Caldari Logistics like they were mlt frames. Now there are so many armor frames and prof 5 doesn't give you 15% armor damage, so it just doesn't work very well anymore. But the recoil is all visual. Just don't try t compensate and you'll do fine.

Add to the fact that armor HP is higher than shield HP in general, and it is a very ineffective weapon for killing anything other than scouts. I find it better for chewing the armor on heavies than on my Plasma Rifle simply because of the higher damage per clip. Could be I was lucky with the heavies I encountered because I don't run the ASCR much, but from my testing it's a very solid Assault weapon. The ASCR is definitely better than the AR.

They can't do much to evade your shots. The only question that is relevant is which clip is going to kill them faster, and the ASCR will not. That fact right there should be the end of your desire to use it. But then considering you already admit you don't run it often, you probably have already subconsciously admitted its a bad weapon and do not use it as a result. You simply haven't admitted it to yourself openly yet. But the ASCR is better at delivering headshots because of tighter dispersion and higher ADS precision.

Though, until it got needlessly (and massively) nerfed along with the regular ScR in delta it was honestly still pretty decent. Not great or remotely OP, to be sure, but a nice middle ground between the AR And RR in both function and overall effectiveness. ASCR > AR
