DUST Search - Is there a reasoning behind our inability to name our APEX suits?

When you create the fitting using "Create New Fitting", and select the dropsuit, you are able to "edit" it still before backing out to your fitting selection. That's so strange, I have had my APEX min logi LP suit favourited since I got it a while ago. At first it used to deselect all the time but I have come back and it is always there to greet me on login and has stayed selected as favourite. You favorited it at a time before Warlords 1.0. When Warlords hit, the option to favorite the fit became greyed out. If you had already favorited it before Warlords, it stays as your favorite until you change your favorite suit.
