Dead bodies are everywhere.
No threats in sight, they've been pushed back, you did good kid.
Needle in hand.
Staring at the dead body, no shield, no armor, poor guy, I wait patiently.
The enemy is beginning to push back...I scream "WHY WON"T YOU LET ME HELP YOU!?!?"
I'm not trying to farm you, just hit the button. Hit THE BUTTON! It's a 100% needle you fool.
Oh, my god, you paranoid tardpro, fine just terminate, that's FINE!
I'm hitting the supply dept, switching over to my Minmando, I hate you so much.

FLASH FLASH! He wants a revive! I move back toward him at breakneck speed.
5 meters away...
Disappears. Only 10 seconds have gone by since he initially went down.
After the match...
Go to fridge. Writing down BUY NEW CONTROLLER. Glance at box of broken controllers. Glance at calendar. Further write RESOLVE TO BREAK FEWER CONTROLLERS.
Here's hoping my New Year's Resolution makes it past 2:00 on January 1st.

I generally apply the "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me." addage when it comes to pick ups. I'll always give a nearby needler a chance. It still pisses me off to get farmed and I teeter on the brink of never letting any non-squad member revive me again.

No one ever used the call for help button in the first place, which is why the needle change was a bad one.
No one ever understands that all matches can be ended by clone depletion.
Clone depletion is your passive spawn penalty, and so you should limit the penalty by trying to make sure no clones terminate.
There is literally no sense for team killing to be possible in any gamemode.

I have an idea.
I will refrain from talking like Roadblock from G.I. Joe.
How about if you have a needle you can stick the body whether or not they accept. They can accept and it works as normal. They can also deny the immediate pickup and spawn elsewhere.
The difference is that their body then becomes a one time spawn for anyone else that wants to spawn there.
Lore wise they'd be in the same suit as the deceased clone, but logistically that sounds like a nightmare. |
