Ripley Riley wrote:In Borderlands 2 there is a variety of grenade called a MIRV. MIRV description wrote:Upon detonation the parent MIRV grenade spawns child grenades, the number of which depend on the stats randomly ascribed to the grenade mod when it is dropped from a loot source. This grenade mod can be compared to the Shotgun weapon type by the way its base damage stat is multiplied by the number of child grenades spawned from it, with each child grenade having only the base damage stat. Potentially all the child grenades could explode against one target dealing full product damage like firing a Shotgun point blank. The child grenades carry the same elemental effect as the parent grenade. It needs something to balance out it's high damage potential. Maybe a shorter throw distance? Which throw? The person throwing it? Or the throw from the primary explosion?

50% is pretty substantial, I could see that working for throwing it around the corner then taking cover behind said cover. But it's not meant to be an alphastrike killer like REs. I think that a person should only carry one of these. But that might be a bit extreme. It's supposed to apply damage, but not be a destroyer. Though, if you threw it into a corner or cubby hole where someone was camping, that'd be nearly the end of them

True Adamance wrote:Minmatar already have a Grenade.
My suggestion is an Amarr "Flayer" Grenade (as seen in Templar One as Flayer Mines)
Grenade jumps into the air detonating small impact shards which have monofilament wires attached to them that slice through enemy shields and flesh equally efficiently. I read templar one and enjoYed how the author described those. Someone said ccp wouldn't do a DOT weapon and if it would be a contact grenade we already have one of those. Maybe make said grenade into something of a claymore?

If it was spammed? Most absolutely. They should require a large amount of nanites to restock, you should only be able to carry one. So, it should really take away a lot from a nanohive.

Auris Lionesse wrote:sounds cool and i support but i think the amarr need a grenade first before minmatar get like a 4th variant of the ones they already have. like a flash grenade. or a scrambler grenade that knocks out radar for 20seconds.
gal and cal need some variants too. like plasma grenades or anti sentinel grenades for caldari. I could understand anti sentinel grenades, but what stops then from becoming the new mainline grenade? High alpha, contact damage only? (No splash radius). Otherwise everyone spans grenades into a point when a sentinel is doing his job abd guarding said point only to be rendered useless when every class can sit back with a nano hive abd chuck grenades all day.
