Because streaming a Q&A round table worked out really well in May? Lol
But seriously now folks, it's good that this news is now out. The last Fanfest was a train wreck of pandering to the PC master race made worse by the frankly insane bollocks of promises made for Dust by Rouge's predecessor 12 months before that.
As a Fanfest vet I can tell you that the far more interesting stuff gets spoken about in the Round Tables and the pubs. Not streamed for sure but at least there's no hype about what's said there.
It's likely going to be Eve: Valkyrie's time in the sun at Fanfest I'm guessing so there's only so much time that can put to one side for all off CCPs products. Dust and Legion will be very much on the back burner in March but they'll still be Rouge, Rattati and I'm sure some others will make the trip. They'll be answering questions and I'm sure Rouge will be hijacking Eve TV at some point too.

Like I said before, this will be Valkyrie's Fanfest and there is only a finite amount of time over the three days. Besides, it'll keep marketing busy with the new game too.
So silver lining and all that.

Pretty much this.
I'm not going to disparage or dismiss the opinions that others have about this particular subject. People has differing points of view based on their own perceptions. These, they are perfectly entitled to.
That being said when it comes the claiming of sources in CCP, I can honestly say that in my time so far in the CPM, no one making claim to x happening before y is in place or z will happen next week, has been even close. None of them knew or predicted 1.9, expressing even more surprise than most. With sources as sharp as theirs you'd expect them to have known something that big. Surely......?
