Except it isn't: http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquilitySteady decline, though minimal, since 2013. No growth at all since 2011 overall. Current user logons are consistent with those in 2009. That's not what I would call "very strong". Except you have no real correlation. Skill queues that can be a year + long means people can walk away form eve and play other stuff.. whill still paying for eve. Eve offline != subscription numbers. Only whos is online. You really can not get any real info from that site besides how many players are on. And eve has been peaking at 40K+ during prime time for months now, so its rebounding. But again, there is not enough information to support the claim that even is down subscribers. Even if you look at last years 6 month update, you can calculate that eve was down about 2.5k subscriptions in the first 6 months. But how much of that money was dust is the question. There just is no evidence to support either claim unfortunatly Yeah, sure. There are tens of thousands of Eve players just sitting offline indefinitely paying a subscription for a game that they never play. Give up. Eve is actually declining at this point. If 40k + players is rebounding, then it has about 20k to go before you can say it's really "rebounding" since the devs at CCP built their game to be such a niche game that their current and past audience is just about their only audience. Incarna was just about the only time they ever tried to appeal to anyone outside of their niche market with that game and the players acted like brats and spoiled it for the large portion of the player base who actually wanted it and decided not to bother any more after witnessing the community act the way they did (like me). When they actually manage to make their game "fun" and less about spreadsheets in space, then maybe they'll get the subscription base they always wanted. Until then, have fun with the decline.
Ah man ...look i dont want to pick a fight with you but stop spreading crap ...Eve online is in a very healthy state.
CCP have to a large degree made policy to not allow players multiboxing 10-20 acounts (mining fleets) so there was a crap load of people that got rid of their extra accounts because of this.
CCP's first priority is to make Eve a great game and if that means stepping on the toes of a few vets like myself then so be it ....Eve will be around for the next 12 years that you can take to the bank...there is just no equal.
I mean for how long has people been DOOMING Dust ...and its still around and getting better. Im really so tired of people trying to spread neg publicity (if you don't like the fucken game then move on ) !!!!!
