When you're in a firefight, which would you rather say; The one which is accurate or the one which relays the same message but faster? Not sure about you, but I'll chose the former any day.
Only a gun person understands, in real life the gun community laughs at people who use wrong terms. A clip and magazine serve same function but are very different in design. The fact that they cant even get basic terms correct explains why the weapon mechanics suck. |

This pretty much settles this debate.
How does it settle it? A clip is diffrent than a mag, their are no clips in dust just magazines. A clip refers to a striper clip used to load ww1 style rifles. Its alot longer process and less efficient thats why we dont make modern firearms that use clips. |

You just stated you wouldnt mind using the term mag the shortened down version of magazine so how would it be cumbersome? Both mag and clip are 1 syllable words. Just one is correct and the other isn't. |
