I'll search for squads for AFW in other channels when PIE Ground Control gets quiet, and the guys I play with think just because they are PC players they don't need to talk orders or even follow squad orders, that they are simply better. Of course this leads to a full 16 q-sync getting stomped. And they are too high and mighty to take advice from someone who doesn't play PC. But seriously, there is little chance of working as a team if you don't have someone guiding everyone and everyone else actually listening. Dust has way too many moving pieces involved to simply assume everyone is on the same page. You need to talk and guide others.
Best thing to do here Aero is to tell them "We are playing this like a PC". One of us steps up and acts as FC for the squads (Typically me if I'm in one of the squads, although we have multiples that can do it)
When Minmatar go into Q-syncs, the first thing we do is size up the team and map.
When we spawn, we determine what points we want to control and who's going where.
Then we just give live updates as we go. "They're taking A, we need to push C NOW", or "Guys we can't lose C, just take 3 guys and sit on the point"
Then call out people who don't talk on comms as you play. Every now and then I have to ask "Who let a whole squad into Charlie and told nobody?" When we see it flip and go to reinforce. Happens less often as the squads get more and more used to running with each other.
Comms in our channel is actually pretty on point in games. In between games is crazy though. We get so off topic. It's great though, we really are starting to feel like a Militia. Rag-Tag and all that jazz.

I hate to say this, but we had a saying in Battlefield 3 that carries over to every FPS I've ever played.
"Never expect blueberries to do ANYTHING short of providing convenient distractions to the enemy."
Which translates to "When in doubt, do it yourself"
Another good comparison is that they're like the creeps from League of Legends. They spawn, walk in a straight line to the closest objective and try to kill the first thing they see. Anticipate how they play and use this to your advantage (Blues make great distractions and cannon fodder. In battlefield, we used to let blues take blind corners for us. Better them than us.)
This is why playing with a squad is so dang beneficial. Yeah, blues are stupid, but if you work together as a squad, you can pull off some pretty amazing things. Let the blues zerg and distract, while you take the important points and hold them.
