Over three days, November 11-12-13, the CPM and CCP Shanghai held a number of meetings via Lync.
Much of the subject matter and detail covered in these meetings is unfortunately subject to NDA but the CPM can report that it is happy with the current development direction and welcome CCP's attitude as to improving communication with the community overall. The CPM will continue, as it has always done, to push CCP in this regard.
The three meetings can be summarised as follows
Tuesday 11 November Update on 1.9: CCP Rattati and CCP logibro hosted a discussion regarding the status of 1.9 post release. This was a very productive discussion including possible future client updates. The CPM finished the meeting feeling that much progress was made.
Wednesday 12 November Update from CCP Rouge: Hosted by CCP's Rouge, Rattati and Logibro, Rouge updated the CPM as to the full gamut of CCP Shanghai's operations. Meeting details are Subject to NDA but it was good natured, honest and frank. The CPM is pleased to report that CCP have taken onboard community concerns about player communication and is confident that there will be some rectification on that in the near future.
Thursday 13 November Follow up to Tuesday meeting: Again with CCP Rattati and Logibro, this meeting was by far the longest of the three stretching to over 2 and a half hours. A huge amount of detail was covered and was by far the more productive of the three meetings. The CPM is particularly pleased as to the content generated by this meeting.
In summary, the broad range of topic discussion and content generated over these three meetings was certainly large enough to be considered as a mini summit by the CPM. As stated earlier we are pleased with CCP's desire to greatly improve communication and hope to see moment on that in the near future.
Please post any questions and feedback you might have in the thread below but be aware much of what was discussed is subject to NDA so don't take it personally if we can't give you a direct answer.
Kind Regards

Thanks for the update!
That may be possible subject to NDA of course but due to its nature it was a more informal process that say a full summit would be. Much of the discussion was organic and on the fly and grew from brainstorming ideas.

Very interested in these particular bits. Now I know I wont be able to get anyone to talk or give details however the honest and frank part about CCP Shanghai`s operations mean a couple of things to me.... Possibly Legion is on hold or maybe it is just taking longer than expect. Maybe its not the same game we assumed it would be. I like the sound of future client updates too. It would be nice to get some sort of rough set of aims / short to mid term goals out of CCP for both DUST514 and / Legion.
Comment and speculation as to the status of Project Legion right now is of course subject to NDA. As to your second point we hope to see movement in that regard fairly soon.

will we get racial parity (buildings, vehicles and missing weaponry)?
what future changes are planned to fix the EWAR imbalance & clunky binary mechanic?
will we get new game modes?
will we get new maps?
Can't really give yes or no answers to them because thats for a Dev to say. But they were all discussed.

Or what are they currently looking at that could use more player input?
If there is anything specific that they want they usually put up a thread detailing it. But one thing that would help them is if you guys submit a ticket if you find a bug. With video if possible, that really helps them.

"Better communication" is something that is always mentioned in these type of posts but more and more we see where the lines of communication are either severed or a bit fat git is sitting on it (wasn't me!). The whole "how do boosters thing work?" in regards to the Skill Cap is certainly the most obvious of "uhh, what the hell happened here?" but more and more the player base is wondering if something is happening behind our backs. IE, that's a whole lot of additional Aurum purchase out. Is CCP trying to get money to develop Legion into the game DUST was supposed/promised to be or are they trying to get the last bit of toothpaste out of the tube before it is discarded?
Obviously, I am sire you would love to assuage my worries this but are unable due to NDA but I am curious if you remember how it feels being on this side of the table.
Ok, lets put it this way.
I'm in the beginning stages of planning for the Uniform I'll be wearing at Fanfest this year. Possibly the creation of a Quafe style helmet to go with the whole ensemble. I've already purchased the new Nerf gun to be customised, the flight tickets and paid for the hotel. This represents a not inconsiderable financial outlay on my part.
So with that in mind, does anyone think I'd make this kind of long term commitment if my NDA gifted me the knowledge that it wasn't worth my being there as far as Dust/Legion is concerned?
As to the problems with communication, it is something that is constantly being pointed out to CCP, often very bluntly by me in particular. But as with all large companies with many departments each with differing concerns, these things can often take more time than is preferred.
