CTF could be more like " capture the element." it could seemingly add more content to the idea of achieving backbone or back story to eve and dust. Emphasizing on the aspect of mining rare elements for eve pilots, thus growing on the connection between dust and eve players camaraderie. The evolution on the connection between game platforms would give a dynamic that has never been explored before, i would think. Add your ideas to this please |

It would make more sense for us to fight over Sleeper or Jove artifacts.

Sabotage, yes. Capture the flag, no, there's Halo and CoD for that.
Instead of the MCC blowing up, it would be a large socket installation. Would probably take a lot of work though.
Then there's my favorite, Convoy from SOCOM 3 and Combined Assault.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

CCP should be embarassed at the total lack of game modes with the great lore in New Eden. We've always thought that a variety of npc/player contracts should be avail for CEOs and other corp leadership to choose from....these contracts should have parameters that determine whether they are successful or not.
1. Sabotage - cripple a facility, asset or convoy determined by the contract holder. the mission is complete when over 60% damage is done to the total HP of the object.
2. Escort - get an asset, convoy, individual or group from one point to another before suffering a predetermined amount of damage. the merc group would start the match with the object in their possession.
3. Acquisition - secure an asset, group or individual from its current possession and escape with it. this could be a CEO or other VIP who is mortal, so their death results in failure.
4. Bounty - follow the bounty (identified by their name showing in yellow) into a match and kill them as many times as possible. each kill paying a portion of the bounty and 5+ kills resulting in the payment of the entire bounty.
5. Gladiator Fights - Televised fights where the mercs start off weaponless in a maze area that has weapons scattered randomly throughout it.
6. Assassin contracts - PVE missions where the single player or small group must stealthily wade through patrols, security to kill a target, death results in failure and detection will cause them to be overwhelmed by AI. Single death.
7. Corp Theft - PVE mission where single, sneaky elite level operative or small group evades PVE defenses to steal data. Detection results in being overwhelmed by AI and being killed results in failure.
This is the kind of variety and depth players expect in New Eden, not stale and meh TDM and Skirmish. Expecting players to be content with these after 2 years? be serious, CCP.

Juggernaut first player to find the experimental stimulants becomes the juggernaut increase +20% all resists + 20% jump 300% melee dmg 200% stam ultra ping and ultra sight heart attack timer. This mode has friendly fire and once the juggernaut is killed it drops the stims juggernaut +25 points every every 30 seconds 200p if it reaches heart attack.

I'd like to see a Siege game mode, the FPS variant from Total War series , notably Shogun 2.
Basically players are offered chances to defend their base using the terrain, defences, and their own strategies to outsmart and over power their foe.
It was the only game mode I was good at both besieging and defending.
E.G- Mounting Artillery on a High Ground with line of site on their walls and units to catch them in cross fire. Leading sorties of (mechanised) cavalry to harass their troops from different angles and kill their crucial units, placing ranged killers in choke points and drawing them on to high defence units to be ground down in attrition.

I like both of these, it would add to our killing options I would love to see more of a twist on modes though ... for example..
Scouts V Heavies
either a deathmatch mode, or you could run something like CTF... Have the heavies on defence, Scouts on attack though... would be fun Any variation is welcome though.. And with lesser playerbase numbers I would love to see certain gamemodes be 8V8 such as 50ticket ambushes or the suggested CTF...
Have the gamemodes allow solo mercs to get quick deploys and fight, where squads will queue mostly For the longer battles with more mercs per team, though I'm sure you'll get some nasty squads in 8v8 So capping squads at 4 mercs each is another option (at least for 8v8 modes)

First of all, I really want to see Corp Battles come back. I'm not sure how much has changed on the implementation side of things, but I would imagine that it wouldn't take near the effort of creating an entirely new gamemode to bring CBs back. They give the competitive feel of PC, but without all of the overhead of district ownership, reinforcement timer management, and team organization.
As for public contracts, I'd be happy with anything with a bit more variety/progression. The thing I liked about all of MAG's game modes was that they had a progression of objectives that each had different strategies and conditions. Skirmish 1.0 had exactly that, and that is what originally kept my interest in Dust. Unfortunately, Skirm 1.0 was scrapped due to what I believe was explained as inflexible coding, but it was never reimplemented. The return of a similar game type would be a much needed addition, something like the MAG's sabotage mentioned in SMB's post. Our current game modes offer far too little variety. Technically, Skirm and Dom aren't even different game modes, Dom is just a variant of Skirmish and used to just be another type of Skirm map.
Another important aspect of Skirm 1.0, MAG's Sabotage, and others that have been mentioned is their non-linearity, each team has different objectives. Right now, there isn't any difference between the attacking side and defending side other than which end of the battlefield you start on. We could really use something with distinct differences between attacking and defending. |

I think everyone mentioned every gamemode I could think of. I would be happy with any/all of them. (Though I think getting Zombies on here isn't likely.)
I just want to play new gamemodes, after 2 years playing the same 3 gamemodes I'm bored to death. |

What was that mode in Battlefield with progressive objectives and advancing redlines...? Say you destroy both objectives, defense falls back to guard the next two? I'd love to see something like that.
What you could do is give the defense more installations which are 'unhackable' by the offense maybe old school rail turret AI? ;)

Search and Destroy (COD) has not been mentioned. Always liked this gamemode because you only had 1 life so it made that life seem more precious, plus be interesting to play this with needles.
Rush (Battlefield) which from what I hear was a bit like Skirmish 1.0 (never played it)
Also the presence of uplinks wouldn't make sabotage impossible as long as they could still be destroyed. Maybe equipment radar could be always on for this gamemode. At least for a certain distance around the point.

1-flag CTF In 1-flag CTF, a neutral flag is placed approximately halfway between each faction's bases. The objective is to capture the flag and bring it to the opposite faction's base. 2-flag CTF 2-flag CTF resembles traditional Capture the Flag. It involves two factions which both hold a flag at their respective bases. The player must steal the flag from the enemy's base and return it to their own base. These ideas comes from Star War Battlefront.
