Every match where one side gets stomped there is one absolute. There is always 1-2 squads vs. none on the other side. Of course they are going to do better for they are communicating, but for the players stuck match after match fighting these squads with proto gear they are giving up. I try every game in one way or another to support my team. One match was a perfect example. The other side was stacked and I was unaware. I just kept running out to the mess and dieing. I started to see less blues and more reds. We where shortly red lined and as I cloned in I half my team was sitting in the back shooting one another the others where sniping or who knows what. I and maybe three others where the only ones not giving up.
End of the score board the average kills for my side was 2. The other side with 2 squads not one person had less than 3 deaths. This is getting worse for teams refuse to try when the other side is stacked. I am averaging 2 out of 3 matches were the other side has squads and we have none. Matchmaking is placing all the squads on one side and not equally. This needs to be fixed. I am sure there are others who feel the same way. Pubs need to be fixed before no one even tries.

I would like to see something along these lines:
To complete the teams 1. Those who are in squads stay together 2. Any slots in the squad left open are filled by players who are not in squads 3. All solos are grouped into a squad and a random captain is designated
Matchmaking 1. Just come up with better logic for this to balance matches - it has been better than what it used to be but could still use some work
Spawns 1. Fix the so called smart deploy 2. Players need to understand that constantly spawning at points surrounded by reds is not smart idea 3. Players who lay down spawn points need to think about the locations and put some in outer zones - yes you may have to run a distance but it is better than being in a killzone with no chance at all

Problem is that it takes one and two man squads and puts them against full five or six man squads. The matchmaking doesn't seem to take small individual squad sizes being bad into account.
One six man squad will 9/10 times beat two three man squads that aren't working together over comms which is always the case.

The team balancer in pub matches was a good start, and it certainly helps, but its really not enough.
If only one squad joins a match, it can't split that squad up, the team without a coordinated squad is probably screwed.
If solo randoms with apparently absurdly high mu get "balanced" against a couple of average mu squads, they still get screwed because the squads are sticking together while the solo players are off doing their own thing.
You've got to find a way to apply the team balancing system to the system that gathers players for a public match in the first place, making sure that at least one squad is included on each team. Hell, take it a step further and try to keep similar mu players together without necessarily preventing them from encountering players higher or lower ranked. Something like collecting everyone looking for a match within a 1 minute window and sorting them all into battles as best it can.
I'd understand if you're reluctant to make changes to scotty that might slow down the match queue, but I'd like to think everyone would be willing to put up with slightly longer waiting for pub matches if they were more consistently balanced. |

Good to know that some matchmaking might actually happen with this game. (Assuming you mean "we are almost guaranteed to make that happen") If not, having played the game enough and flat out not getting many 'good fights' in Domination, I can say that it generally does not happen. Even worse is that the matchmaking does not randomize teams. Why is it than when I am a solo player I can run against the same squad of people 5 games in a row and yet never be on their team? Try it out some time. Play at night, get to where you are with a squad or against a squad and re-queue immediately. You will have nearly identical teams as last game.

Agreed. I run solo a lot just because I don't really have the ability to squad up much at the moment. I would be willing to wait an extra 30 seconds/ 1 minute per match if it meant when I got INTO the match, it was going to be more balanced. Now will there be times when stuff happens and one team still gets stomped? Of course.
But if I knew when I jumped into a match that if the other team has a 4 person squad that my team has a 4 person squad, (yes better players vs. worse but at least it's something) and I know if the other team's squad has hi MU, our team with an average squad will get all the top solos to balance it out, I would be willing to wait.

Agree with your 2nd and 3rd threads, not # 1. Throwing a bunch of random people together without mics into a squad is no different than sending them out without a squad. All the players are going to do their own thing and not worry about watching each other's back.

Domination matches seem to be broken. I was in a match with two 3 man squads of "top of the leaderboard" players. All six ended up on my team and proceeded to stomp the living bejeezus out of the other team. I checked out the other team and there were no known players or even known Corporations represented.
Because, that's why.

I have also felt the matchmaking / team balancing has been a bit wonky as of late. For a while it was nice and even matches, but now it's stomping time again.

The teambalancing really reaches it's limit when it is given a 6 man squad and a few smaller ones. 8 2 man squads won't help against a 6 man squad.
The matchmaker needs to start dealing the teambalancer better cards. If a 6 man squad queues, wait until you find another one. Then the teambalancer can do its thing and actually has a chance of creating a nice battle. |

For 1st point that can be adjusted by how points are issued out. Reward players more points for sticking with their squad (kills, heals, ammo, etc) and that would hopefully encourage others to run as a group. Continue to have lesser point value for those who are out smelling the flowers on the battlefield or taking the scenic routes in vehicles for no reason.
