Other than other arial vehicles, Anti vehicles, or A/V as many know it, is what will give you the biggest problems. Below is a list of things I will explain in detail on how to survive against anti vehicle, and making sure your dropship is properly fit to engage anti infantry meaningfully.
Swarm Launchers: Swarms as a dropship pilot are the weapon pilots should worry about the most. Why? Because any dropsuit can equip them, they are much easier to use compared to other A/V, very mobile to bring to crucial areas, and the users of the weapon can not be detected until they shoot at you.
TACTICS: 1. Situational awareness - all possible areas to where you could possibly be attacked from. This could be the large group near the objective, the highest point where you plan to support from the air, and all the other unknowns. To help with this being in a squad helps this a lot. Your squad can tell you where they see dangers to you, or you can relay information of dangers you see for yourself and have them take care of it for you if possible. 2. Afterburner proper use - experienced pilots use the afterburner sparingly. It is rarely used to zip across the battlefield. Instead they use it as you would a defense module like the armor or shield hardeners. It is reserved for when you have been surprise attacked and need a quick boost of acceleration to escape from the A/V shooting at you. 3. Dropship Fittings 101 - how you fit your dropship will depend on what you can and can not do. From the turrets, to the modules, the type of dropship, all of these things matter. Some dropships are better suited to use hardeners while others value extended health points.
Forge Gun: Forge guns produce high alpha damage with just one accurate shot and produces serious concerns for dropships. Even more so when the forge gun user has skills invested into the weapon accompanied by damage modifiers. Why? Currently the forge gun puts out far more damage than a large rail turret, is very mobile, and forge gun users are extremely hard to hit from the air. The closer you fly to them the easier it is for them to hit you. ***NOTE *** (To fight a forge gun user you need to be far too close and accurate. All of these things play to a forge gunners advantage. Use extreme caution when engaging)

Plasma Cannon: Plasma cannons are dangerous? Yes they are. Like the forge gun it produces a lot of damage per shot, and is well balanced against infantry and vehicles. Unlike the forge gun the plasma cannon can be fitted by any suit and has the best of both worlds from the swarm launcher and the forge gun.

Vehicles: YesGǪ yesGǪ vehicles are A/V too! The engagement of vehicles is much more relaxed compared to infantry A/V because the moment you are engaged or engaging, you will know what the capabilities of the other vehicle is. If you know your dropships fitting well you will be able to better decide if you should fight or retreat and fight another day.
