Might I ask why you want to join another corp? With a 1.25 KD/R no offense, but I doubt many PC groups will be picking you up whether you pad or not. I mean this coming from someone who doesn't PC so I really don't mean to offend I'm just saying you don't seem near enough try hardy for that, if so, you wouldn't need to ask how to not die.
If you just want groups to play with you know you can mingle with players in other corps and join their chat channels if they get along with you, right? Then you can squad up with them when they are going RFx or you can say LFG and there you go. Not only do you have squads to play with but you also aren't siphoning isk to the top corp members who will be spending it on beer and hookers. If the corp has a 0.0% tax rate though then I could understand wanting to hook up for an extra LFG channel but anything above 0.0% and you might as well just hitch up to squads in chat channels. |

I guess if that's what you want more power to you, but if you are trying to work towards PC you will need to do more than pad your KD/R. You probably should play on SD so you can have faster load times and less graphic lag or 480i instead of 720p if you are using a HDMI cable. Also might want to look into either acquiring a KB/M for better precision aiming and easier twitch strafing or in the least get one of those like 20 dollar turbo controllers for less kick and/or more shots per heat build up. If you want to be the best you gotta use every advantage you can. Besides this, for padding hide in groups of blues or squad up and proactively avoid games you know you won't win. You may even need to abort bad battles. All else fails get good with a sniper rifle (Which should become easier if you get a KB/M) and just hide in your red line, that's the slow but sure way to pad your KD/R. Also, make sure you either skill into everything or repeatedly buy respecs if you want to remain competitive for when things you like to use get the nerf hammer. Current Flavor of PC from what I've heard is Scout, Heavy, and Logi so if you aren't skilled into those I'd consider respeccing to them based on what the group you want to PC for is looking for.
Personally, I think all of the above mentioned things are why I don't care for PC, but if its what you want you gotta "Git Gud" so to speak.
And if you aren't PCing it doesn't matter what corp you are in as squadding isn't limited to corp mates only. |
