I don't write much on these forums but I feel that this needs to be said. I have many real life friends who I have tried to bring along to play this game over time and they ALL turned away within a week. The reason that always comes up is that matches are too one sided and they always get wiped out by organized groups in an unorganized evironment, which in turn gives squads the possibility of using top tier gear against average joes and litterally farm public matches. The fact that CCP has not implemented solo vs solo matches and squads vs squads matches is beyond me. |

I understand your point, but I believe they would get more players hooked if it wasnt a protostomp fest. Maybe it is too late, but I did write a similar complaint 1 year or so ago. I just came back to this game and there have been a lot of improvements, but the matchmaking system is ruining the fun out of this game, whichever side I play on. Once in a blue moon I do get a balanced match and it is the reason why I keep playing, but it is not enough for most and this had to be/should be adressed. |

I do understand the comments about the grind, but I still believe new players with previous experience in shooter games that would come with a 6 man in public games would still wipe the floor with solo players. They should be seperated, but that is my opinion and that of my friends who played the game and quit. I am not emotional contrary to some responses and I do have fun playing this game, I just wish that more ppl stayed. |

You say that it would not solve the mechanics but I can't help but compare to the old guild wars, even though it is a completely different type of game, the same logic applies. You could solo Q and you would be teamed up with other soloers and would face other soloers. It was fair. I do know that people don't like fair because as it turned out, people would go onto the korean server to ''sync'' up with their teammates and be paired against soloers to farm. It's basically what is happening in dust, except that in dust, the game is made like that and to me it is boring to be on the winning or losing side and I don't see the ''skill'' involved when all the odds are stacked in favor of the team with a squad in it. I guess it's just me, but the reality is that regardless of the ''welcome to new eden '' blah blah comments, most of the potential player base left, and there are good reasons why. Anyways, that was my 2 cents and all I had to say on the matter, I just wish the devs read this for future games because solo players are numerous and should not be ignored. |
