The majority of the people with the old sets have left the game. If a new influx of people want to **** away their own money so they can save 3000 ISK per match and be a maroon color (Red in fittings, darker almost purple in battle) then go for it.
You're going to run into as many people using the Dragonfly/Covenant/Dren suits as you did back in August of last year when they were still for sale.

Regardless, Dropsuit BPOs used to be 3K AUR. Considering they "reintroduced" BPOs at almost 4x the cost I fully except the Mercenary pack which was $20 to become $50
Veteran Pack which was $50 to become $75
Dren Pack which was $100 to become $150

I only use the swarm on a cheap fit that has a lot of militia gear and my electronics/engineering are 5, so I have lots of cpu/pg left over.

Its waaaaay more value than the aur packs. I'm a little pissed that I just bought an aur pack. I totally would have bought the 50 (veteran or elite, can't remember) pack instead.

I never noticed the change because I never had a reason to use it. Dren Swarm has Basic Stats but MLT fitting. Proof Dren Shotgun is fine. Dren AR is fine Sentinel is fine Assault is fine (Wish I could exchange these for some Minmatar BPO's though.
