After 90% of your time spent on friday, Saturday and Sunday is playing video games and the other 10% is sleep. How creative do you think people will get. I just wanted my name on a f*cking gun.
I did not really spend that time so I can name something the "herp-a-derp forge gun"...

I did not really spend that time so I can name something the "herp-a-derp forge gun"... Fair enough Viktor and congrats by the way. But in all truth, players had weeks (?) to think about names. Edit: But Viktor's herp-a-derp has a ring to it, doesn't it?
Months but considering I spent weeks trying to get my full name in there and it being rejected I doubt to much "creativity" would be allowed since I could not get my full name in there even.
Im not trying to make ccp out to be a monster(I'll do that in other threads) but I understand why they were so strict with names and I respect that to a degree.

other cool words: magnus, werewolf, revenant, glaive, last rights or heresy (if your naming a scrambler or laser rifle), aegis,

the people who won had no creativity. its a shame. off the top of my head sirens kiss. avarice, abomination. anythings better than derp alex hmg.
No it's people who won did not spend all that time to name a weapon after some "cool" word. I could have thought of many "Creative" names but i was not going to name my weapon any of them simple because i wanted my name on it and could not give two f*cks whether people are going to be sad that there is not a "Warewolf Laser Rifle" i did not spend 50 hours to put "Warewolf" in front of a weapon name. I know i sound very bitter about this, but i was not all that happy about playing 50 hours of video games in one weekend so thats the reasoning behind it.

I put a lot of time into Dust about 70%, the rest is about 5% sleep and 25% With my girlfriend (Because you know, humans don't like to be lonely) and I could easily come up with a name! Then again I have several names lined up already and have gotten used to very little sleep...
God Hates lag named the RR
That's the point of my bitterness towards this event, I got sh*t to do. I work and go to school full time that's why I'm not to excited about having to spend so much time during this event. I give Ccp a tip of my hat for improving the event the second go around.
The problem is no one would be motivated enough to name the weapons after a word, that's why no one did.

If the rules said "The name has to be deemed cool by CCP and we can reject your name just because we want to." i would have never tried for the event.

I'm just going to pile on some more because i'm an ass and because i can. way back when i was poor lonely merc when this game was still early in it's life cycle and i got killed by a balac's AR or a thales Sniper. I thought on a few occasions, "Damn it would be cool to have an officer weapon named after me" Not once have i said "it would be cool if i CCP let me spend 50 hours of my life over one weekend just so i can name one of these weapons the Warewolf Combat Rifle"
