There were some skill books that had their SP multiplier adjusted over the years since the last time you saw any reallocations handed out by CCP. Let's say you trained up a single racial scout to proto (just for the sake of this argument) before the skill books affecting them were modified and before racial parity came around. If you already trained up that book, you were unaffected even if the multiplier was increased later on. You could still run that proto scout.

But now, if you respec and train that same suit again with the currently multiplier, you are likely to have to allocate more SP to upgrade that skill book to the max than before. I'm guessing that is what happened to you.

Unfortunately to my surprise I cannot get back some of the things I was using before as of I had level 5 Sentinel, now I was only able to reach level 3. I lost millions of Skills. This sucks big time. But my mistake, your benefit. Really think before respec.

I bought a respec and made a list of what I had and what I was still going to get (C Scout and Assault to 5, Engineering/Electronics, Rail Rifle, Tank skills, the obvious crap I wanted again). This time, I was more careful and didn't max out skills I did not need (maxing Armor Fitting Optimization, for example). I ended up having over 5 million SP free because it was not put in places I never needed as well as Assault Rifle which I only had because the Rail Rifle didn't exist a year ago. The only way I can think that you "lost" SP is that you spent your points too fast and got things you didn't have originally before getting the things you needed/wanted. "This is B.S! This is B.S! There is no way that CCP would give you a free lunch like that in DUST. The only time that there have been a change to Skill Multiplier is when Uprising came out and there was a respec automatically. I do not think I could've made a mistake of over 2 millions Skills Points. I am missing Level 4 and 5 of the Sentinel that is already 1.8 mil. I am missing at least level 1 to 5 of 3 Dropsuit Modules. And before respec I had amost 600K Skills. There is no way I made a mistake like that.

So if you paid X and you needed to pay 2X, it subtracted X from the amount of SP you had stored. If X is greater than what you had, you went negative. Your SP total didn't change, it went up when you got SP, but you still had to pay off the debt before you could spend anymore SP. Happened to one of my father's alts. My only advice would be to take a look at all the skills you have and try to remember what level you had that skill at. If you have bolt pistol to 5 but no Prototype bolt pistols, that might be a clue that it wasn't at 5. That's 600k SP. Another few skills like that and you start getting into huge numbers of SP that is not missing but is allocated elsewhere. If after searching and not finding skills that are different, contact support. But my guess is if you look, you will find the SP stored under the bed. Best of luck mate. "This is B.S! This is B.S! You most likely rushed the reallocation process and put SP into skills you previously did not have. I have more SP than you and I can assure that everything is accounted for.

The important thing is, how many lifetime did you have before? How many do you have now? If A=B please stop complaining. If you did have some skills that cost more now than they used too, good. Now you aren't getting special sp treatment.

Yes, the skills have changed since closed beta, but you were already given a character wipe before open beta started, a mandatory respec when Uprising came out, and a partial respec of some specific skills as they were changed (if affected). I'm guessing that is what happened to you. We had a dropsuit command respec when racial parity was achieved didn't we? So any SP anyone has in the dropsuit command tree was expended at the current SP cost. The only exception I know of is the Amarr light/scout, which was released at a lower SP value by mistake. But in that case CCP actually retrospectively deducted the excess SP from the character's unspent SP pool. So even in that case, there's no way you will lose access to any skill by resetting. I think OP just went on an SP spending spree and lost track of what he spent. It's easy to do if you don't write down what you have before you reset. For instance, I have no idea off the top of my head how many levels of AR, CR, and RR reload speed I have. If I did the reset and bought level 4 for all of them, when I had level 3 previously, it would look like the SP cost had changed drastically, when actually I just spent SP on stuff I didn't have before.
