It's very annoying when editing fittings when you go to select which weapon or module you want, and you have to scroll through 100 different items - only to find you don't have it in stock and have to go all the way back to the top of the menu to select "go to marketplace" and scroll through 150 items to find the one you want. This is especially annoying in the middle of a battle when the menus are all laggy. This problem could easily be fixed by simply categorizing these menus, for example when you select the light weapon slot instead of being presented with a list of every light weapon in the game it would be better to get a list of the different types of light weapons - so I could just go: Light Weapon Slot -> Combat Rifles -> RS-90. I wouldn't have to look through a massive list, it would all fit on one screen. This is the only problem I have with the fitting screen, other than that it's a great user interface. It just needs that last little fix. |

Skullmiser Vulcansu wrote:I was glad to be able to sell the variants of weapons I never use. I also do not like scrolling through endless weapons. But there's so many that you keep thinking you might need it later, I bet your list is still huge for Light, Sidearm, Highs, Lows. It's such a little thing that's so annoying, another example: I'm in the middle of a battle and they got a crazy scanner lighting me up constantly, so I decide to change my Profile Dampener for a Regulator. I open up my fittings and start making my way through the lag to the suit I want to edit, then I select the Low slot and have to fight through the lag all the way to the bottom of the menu to where the Regulators are.
Aw ****, I don't have a Complex Regulator in stock.
I have to go back, then choose the Low slot again, then select "Go to Marketplace" and proceed to scroll through EVEN MORE STUFF. All the way to the bottom again to where the Regulators are. While it's lagging.
Just categorize the menus please, it would eliminate all the time and effort it currently takes to edit a fitting in-game. And maybe make the menus a lot less laggy too? |

CCP Rattati wrote:Obviously having almost no sorting nor headers in the fittings inventory list is not optimal. One of the things I have proposed is to add metalevel and then sort by metalevel. At least that would help quite a lot for little programming work. I don't think that would do anything to help the problem I have. Adding some headers isn't exactly a mass of programming work. It's already been done in the marketplace.

Proto Laser fit with reps:
A Laser Rep
Advanced Scrambler fit with hive:
B SCR Ammo
Adv Scrambler fit with hive and a basic gun:
B SCR Ammo -
Basic Cal Sent with and adv HMG
C Cal HMG +
And so on. Until they release a catagory filter system or folders for organization I recommend a naming system I have no problem finding which suit I need to edit, I dont even have enough fittings to need an alphabetical system.

So really you don't need to scroll through 150 weapons now. Sell all of the stuff you never use and you should have maybe at most 50 items.
That's what happend to me anyways. I know. But you get such little isk it isn't even worth it, especially when I know I might use the stuff in the future anyway. |
