I suppose this is a good thing, but some teams are just running wild.
Three Ambushes in a row, I got put onto a team with one squad once and against them twice. They took over the three matches each time.
When I was against them I might get lucky and kill one, but seconds later they would kill me and heal their squad mate. I start shooting them, they twist around and start shooting me and because they have more EHP and do more damage, I die before them. Occasionally I get them when damaged or kill them before they twist and target me.
When I was with them, they killed the other team so quickly, I could only get assists and the occasional kill.
I wait 5-10 minutes and again, I get put in a match against them. I tried to avoid them. The wait time was over 2 minutes, so it's like the system waited to stick me back in with them.
As the match goes, I generally start with an advanced suit and a few proto things (shield/armor module, armor repairer, maybe scanner) and I fill in the rest with what I can advanced or normal stuff. Then depending on the opposition, I would switch suits, AA occasionally, an MD or Laser kit. Now I have to go up to a advanced suit with proto and advanced gear only. Or else I don't last long enough to get assists. And this is not just Ambushes, it's Dominations as well. I haven't played enough Skirmishes since the change to know if this is true in them.
They are so much better than me, it's silly, but I have enough SP to get stuck playing against them regularly. I don't make enough in ISK to lose 5-6-7 of these Advanced / Proto suits every ambush, which is now unfortunately much more common.
There will be folks laughing, ha-ha-ha, you suck. Yeah, well using baseball analogies, they are All Stars. I'm a AAA player. I admit it.
It seems like SP is the main factor in who faces who in matches now. Could we tweak this to include kill ratios, maybe damage caused per match or WP per match or WP per match played that day, etc.
Thanks for reading this.
