You are NOT invisible while cloaked.
You are slightly harder to see.
If cloaks were truly invisible, they'd be OP beyond recognition. |

If cloaks were truly invisible, they'd be OP beyond recognition. It's not used to make you invisible, just slightly harder to spot so that you can get past their peripheral. Then why did you state in your OP that it makes you invisible?
I don't get it. |

Saw the video.
I haven't met a fully invisible scout, nor have I heard of their encounters.
As this is most likely a bug (not intended to be in the game for obvious reasons), it does not count.
I repeat: Cloaks DO NOT make toy invisible.
Well, they're not supposed to. |

Because there are many situations where it does indeed make you invisible. I find that hard to believe while the word 'many' is used in that sentence.
Unless you have a clear sky, or the sun right behind the scout, chances are, he's not that hard to spot (at least for me).
When he IS in front of that type of background, the blue color does indeed make him extremely hard to see, but not impossible (If like to say the same thing for the sun as a background, but I've never encountered that scenario).
Even when they're standing still, they are not completely invisible, and thus are vulnerable to those with sharp eyes. I've caught a few when they were completely still, and I've been caught the same way as well.
Chances are, if you're moving and are cloaked, you WILL NOT be invisible and are able to be spotted easily assuming you are aware of your surroundings.
If you can prove to me and show me that when a cloak is working as intended, and users are actually really, REALLY hard to see, then I might actually take your word for it. Of course, you'll also have to take into account the amount of times when you've actually spotted a cloaked scout. Until then, I stand by my own experience, squad members' experience, and my own word. |
