I haven't played in a bit. When did the range on the Charge Rifle get down to 400m ?
Why ?
Is it on all the Sniper Rifles ?
Did the Damage Power go up if distance got nerfed ?
stop complaining about Valid Tactics and kill those bastards....you bastards

All the rifles got range reductions, the tac the most but it also got a larger clip now.
Headshot modifiers went up and vary, Charged rifle gets the highest modifier. A charged headshot can take down almost an sentinel. Click the link in here to find the info on the sniper rifles.

Headshot damage is huge now.
Range nerfed to get most snipers out of the redline.
That's basically it.
Bullet Hell and Duct-Tape? Count me in!

Damage is way, way up. They got a slew of buffs but the range was nerfed with the intent of bringing people out of the redline.
A charge sniper headshot will kill anything now. Even the tankiest heavy will die in one shot. Headshot multipliers are the key to sniping.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Not out of the redline just in the 'field of play' as I like to call it; there is that special zone far back in the red line I like to call the black line where its entirely unreasonable to go out and try to kill someone there.
Its more feasible to kill red line snipers with a variety of weapons now instead of the previous only counter sniper or orbital strike.
To bring them out of the red line fully requires redesign on a lot of maps and redoing the mechanics of the game.
Snipers still enjoy a nice range immunity over every other weapon in the game still including the large railgun.
Tactical is the only one at most risk as his immunity can last about 12 seconds before a forge gunner can blap him and with shorter ranges and lower damage usually affords the advancer more cover in those 12 seconds

I was wondering why that Heavy I blasted today blew up like that...now I know.....

That's basically it. Except most redliners are still in the redline. The only meaningful thing that has changed in regards to redline snipers is counter sniping them. Used to be I could almost counter snipe with impunity inside the fighting zone because everyone was looking for me in the redline; now you have to be inside fighting zone to counter snipe them and everyone knows it so that's where they look.

The sights on the sniper rifle is awful to say the least. Second your right the sniper rifle is a joke now. I was using a Kaal sniper rifle to take our another sniper I could not even counter snipe for my shots failed to register and they where able to hit me but I was not able to hit them. Its a freakin proto sniper rifle and it is S***.
Can the other voices in other peoples minds hear my voices in my head????

You will find very few and rare targets that can survive a charged rifle's head shot.
ishukone requires one head and one body on quite a few targets though.
almost all your higher end rifles requires 2+ body shots but rarely more than a mag though.
Try all three out feel out which ones work bests for the situtations.

I did better than you with a C15 sniper rifle. Sure, you get those unregistered hits, but thats when you should know to find another spot to take your shots from.

max range was nerfed, but damage was buffed hugely and HS multiplier is like 300% or something so its now possable to kill fat-snipers

Long time no see, Foster. Welcome back.
At first, you may dislike the new Sniper Rifle ranges, but I have to say they work in favor of anyone who enjoys the mobile (non-redline sniper) role.
Personally, my favorite is the Tactical variant. Yes, the range has decreased, but the increased damage, magazine size, and headshot multiplier make it one of the most interesting and devastating (if in the right hands) long-range weapons out there. On a speedy Minmatar Assault with a nice back-up SMG, the Tac SR really shines.
It may lack the hard-hitting punch of the Charge and Thale's, but it does really well in taking out lighter tanked Scouts and Mediums with ease. |

I hope for your sake the Balac's start dropping when they do the table updates.
Balac's being the tactical officer variant.
