people still play "planetary who lags most conquest"?
can we get a list of most used suits, not only top killers, otherwise there is no way to compare it with logis. also notice how there is no minmatar suit at the top.
anyway, it is sad that there are no assaults or commandos in the list, the guys that are meant to bring the pain to the front. I still enjoy assaults for public contracts and FW though. |

That list implies that the majority of the PC matches were held on city maps. HMGs and Shottys are NOT useful on open area maps. which is actually wrong.
the open field has nothing of value to offer. as a heavy you usually take and LAV and zoom to the next objective where you again have cover, chokepoints etc... |

Scouts with rifles everywhere picking me off. what zerg tactic? there is absolutely no reason to stay in the open field, there is nothing of value. all objectives have some kind of cover, buildings, etc... around them.
PS: the bridge has cover, doesnt it?
as heavy you can also use forge gun for ranged combat.

Only nerfs will suffice because the imagination of the average DUST player could comfortably rest in a thimble with room to spare.
So either we change heavy deployment roles or it'll be the nerf bat. I'm betting it's going to be the nerf bat. Because no one can conceive heavies as anything but CQC. Its not just "heavy" meta though. The vast majority of heavies have logis working their ass off to keep things running for them. The real problem is the scout meta in the outdoor areas and anywhere else heavies arent sitting on. You just have huge swarms of them and assaults and commandos just cant compete, and logis and heavies just cant survive in an even sort of open socket. Thats the reason you dont see assaults and commandos, and thats the reason heavies and logis are mostly confined to the large cramped city sockets. Get rid of this bullshit scout swarming where people are running 8+ mostly shotgun/damp/cloak with a couple of rifle scouts mixed in and making the outside areas so completely inhospitable for anything that isnt a scout that they cant live for more than a tenth of a second and you will see more assaults/commandos/logis and even heavies on the outside of the city sockets, and even more assaults/commandos on the inside. Daily reminder that shotgun/cloak/damp scouts have no ******* counter in this game and its really, really obvious in PC. True, they have no counter because the ewar mechanic is binary with a big flaw: dampening and suit sig is stronger than scanning and suit precision |
