I have noticed that this is still an issue, I could play 10 games and about 2 or 3 games this could happen and ruin the entire gameplay. Even in Faction Contracts this is an issue and possible solutions seem troubling with how the game mechanics work. Playing your own way and customizing your dropsuit is a must and is unique to this game because of its RPG quality but how do you prevent or dumb down this quality with restricting gameplay breaking mechanics such as this? These players don't have mics and if they do it's often hostile or music spamming. Battlefield 4 seems to fix this issue somehow but I think that is because the gameplay as a whole is objective based. Getting points in that game clearly defines on how team oriented you are rather than your K/D ratio which a lot of gamers are noticing. I think through time this could heal but it is so frustrating to be doing your best, spending your own money and getting killed by 12-20 players against you because 9-10 people on your team are completely useless! I think War-Points need to be overhauled and more team oriented goals should give you a much bigger ISK/XP boost than actual combat. This is why I think the issue from Battlefield games changed, because you always want more points and if the only way to go out on top is to be team/objective oriented the casual gameplay changes towards that role even with no communication between players. This is just my thought or rant on the subject, anyone else want to pitch in?
The red-line snipers in this game in general are non factors. They would be lucky to kill 100 people playing all day.
The good snipers have spots that they have found that are nearly impossible to catch sight of them.. USually requiring a dropship to get to and to counter therm. Most of the snipers are commandos and have a Back up AV weapon for dropships hunting them.
This is a problem with Map design and the lack of Elevators and Ladders contributing to the Multi level playability of the game. We have Extremely high Sky boxes... But most high structures aren't even done right, They are ripe with Invisible walls, Floating 2-5 ft in the air walking around the structure.. Never standing on it.
The rest is Poor Battle Academy Design... The Average player that picks up DUST gets little to no training on how to actually play the game in battle academy.. They arent taught to use vehicles, Drop uplinks and nanohives... Or even what a nanohive or uplink is. CCP Went half way there on the battle academy and then just stopped.. It's sad because it hurts their profits, Hurts player retention and Hurts the quality of the matches for the players that are here.
But CCP never has been good at teaching or informing people how to play their game... Without investing hours and hours of research on forums and online.
