The same thing happened to Bad Company 2, A majority of the team would camp in or outside of the bounds using long range rifles and contributing nothing to the team play (PTFO). I have noticed that this is still an issue, I could play 10 games and about 2 or 3 games this could happen and ruin the entire gameplay. Even in Faction Contracts this is an issue and possible solutions seem troubling with how the game mechanics work. Playing your own way and customizing your dropsuit is a must and is unique to this game because of its RPG quality but how do you prevent or dumb down this quality with restricting gameplay breaking mechanics such as this? These players don't have mics and if they do it's often hostile or music spamming. Battlefield 4 seems to fix this issue somehow but I think that is because the gameplay as a whole is objective based. Getting points in that game clearly defines on how team oriented you are rather than your K/D ratio which a lot of gamers are noticing. I think through time this could heal but it is so frustrating to be doing your best, spending your own money and getting killed by 12-20 players against you because 9-10 people on your team are completely useless! I think War-Points need to be overhauled and more team oriented goals should give you a much bigger ISK/XP boost than actual combat. This is why I think the issue from Battlefield games changed, because you always want more points and if the only way to go out on top is to be team/objective oriented the casual gameplay changes towards that role even with no communication between players. This is just my thought or rant on the subject, anyone else want to pitch in? |

Killing enemies is contributing, doesn't matter if it's with Nova Knives, an AR/ScR/RR, an HMG, or a Sniper Rifle. Especially if you're doing that killing while not dying as much as possible.
Nice try at trolling, your gameplay contributes nothing to the game mode being played, there is nothing wrong with camping in a TDM style match, but when you are collectively destroying your teams progress in an objective mode you are literally worthless.. Which is why I switch to battlefield, because I will find you, and steal your tags within 4 seconds of you killing me. |

At least when I snipe I get my hands dirty, I move locations and drop nanohives or uplinks throughout the games flow. I can get a killstreak with a sniper and see you all the way over there finally killing someone after emptying 2 full mags. You are useless and have no skill. Nice try yourself, kid. Let's see, where to start? Killing enemies is not destroying your team's progress, regardless of what mode. You are not hindering them in any way. The only way what you said could even come close to being true is if clone counts were infinite in skirm/dom, and if all items/weapons/suits were free. If you're supposedly moving around so much when you snipe (yeah, right, try to sound credible by saying YOU do it, but the RIGHT way ), and dropping equipment, all you're doing is wasting valuable killing time and giving away your position. You're ignorant, a liar, a troll, and a poor one at that.
Yes because 3 people versus 10 is great while all of you sit in your corner slowly getting kills over time, why don't you man up and help the battle instead of your K/D score? |

Right, because 10 people sniping on one team is a common thing. I've never seen more than 3 out of 16, unless the match is ALREADY a one-sided lost cause.
It happens often, during a session of play I will encounter up to 3 full games of this, They are obviously not friends but collectively playing the same style while ignoring the battlefield at hand. While I think its awesome you can play the way you want to. However I believe it is more powerful and fun to adapt to a number of situations and use everything at your disposal, it's not that sniping at extreme distances is completely useless, it is when the majority of your team does this from the start of the round, giving the enemy the headstart and oppression against your dwindling reinforcements, until your skill doesn't mean anything because they keep overpowering you, yet when you look on the map everyone is sniping but for a small few trying to push on |
