I can use the best gear available and still die faster by a mlt hmg than I can deal damage with a boundless. I try to use a scrambler to take out caldari scouts when a shotgun or even a mass driver works better. Even as a logi I feel dissatisfied because I can't even be out in the open long enough to rep someone before I'm killed without any time to react. What happened to this game? I thought it got better, all the weapon balances got me excited, and 1.9 was going to be the most awesome thing...but even the blueberries are better than I am? I can't take it anymore. This is the last game with a functional medic system and even my group of proto sentinels and logis can be bested by one lone caldari scout. My scrambler is the only weapon I have now that feels like I have power, and I still can't hit people with it like they can me with their combat rifles and ARs from 100 meters away. I feel pathetic, useless. Like now I'm that blueberry on the team who can't even get 500 wp. Am I missing something? I bet I would make you look good..... i mean for goodness sake i must be the only casual beta player left with a kd of less than .5 and thats on my main. Anyone getting annoyed by reading of the above post should consider the following. I don't care so neither should you :)

Laser rifles meltin' faces. Going 1.5k to 2k+ war points in an ambush with my Gal logi. Runin' a muck with my Ganja and his ACR. Gal assaults fantastic. Melting faces and tac, tac, tacin away with my LR and BrAR on my commando. Don't play my heavy much, so... Hum, everything seems fine to me. {:)}{3GÇó>

When I first came back on the 29th(fixed my OS problem, reinstalled blah blah) I ran 33/12 in full prototype, losing well over 1.3 million ISK. Now I run my Quafe MInja fitted with a Tactical Sniper and an Ion PIstol and I run 25/5 to at worst 10/5. Most of it is you being used to (better controlling/feeling) games which have proper KB/M or DS3(controller) support. Try making yourself as militia a suit as possible, and get used to the METAs again. Gradually return to using PRO mods/weapons on your MLT/STD stuff, then go make an ADV fit designed to do what your basic can't alone(mine is a M/1 Commando with Wyrrkomi swarms, made to fight the tanks my Quafe's Remotes can't handle alone.) After that, just start f**king about with making various other fittings designed to do things that may(or may not...) work. My favorite was making a M-1 Logistics with all scanning mods and a rep tool to follow a friend/scan for him. End result was... i was blind with 120/185. Scanning mods are useless, even on Logistics. I hear you on the Caldari Scout, the only thing that kills them is assault rifles IMO. Speed tanking with that much shield makes your damage output a joke. I have seen them walk right through HMG fire in CQC areas and kill two heavies that were shooting directly at them. Anyone else gets ripped to shreds including Gal scouts. We shall see if this frame rate improvement that they say is coming in 1.9 = more dead Cal Scouts because right now I see very few adv/proto cal scouts that are not beasting and feasting on the other classes in this game. Course if you asked me, I would remove scout and cloak from this game entirely and watch the playerbase grow. In the mean time, I suggest backing out of any game that you feel is flooded with OP suits. Better choice than biomassing. I stick them out and rage, but I am KEQ.... we love the pain...

Hotfix charlie made scout vs non scout gameplay quite impossible, as two precision scouts and two dampening scouts screws everyone and even some scouts theirselves. It was best when only caldari had precision and only gallente could ampen from caldari, because then there were more people speccing into caldari to eliminate people abusing the scoutsuits and same for snipers. Now that is ****** up. It also made using caldari less viable, as the popular used hybrid weapons make shield tanking worthless and a lot of other things still destroy shields too easily. A lot of the suits also have really bad shield regeneration/recharge delay/depleted recharge times. Hotfix Delta made nearly all sidearms overpowered, so now only some people are able to exploit certain one's strength, further disbalancing gameplay. A lot of suits including the scouts still need a proper role that makes the suit user be forced to rely on other players. Guns still need to be tweaked to have no totalitarian effectiveness over ranges they do not specialise in + recoil + no more dicking around with aim assist. We need a better idea for uplink spam and nanite abuse. Either use a sentinel with resistence to certain damage profiles, or become a scout yourself to play as infantry. Or do what I'm doing, speccing into vehicles and researching vehicles so that the day I get ADS or gunnlogis or madrugars I will make ++berfits and act as total support, having my vehicles give birth to my team in any location I want them to go in, while obliterating everyone. I am going to do such a wrathful action because I've no choice. I want to shoot myself because of changes that really ruined my gameplay(calscout change + delta sidearms) but I wanted my death to be fitting to the dust fictional environment and I wanted to use a bolt pistol for that. Im excited to come back and play after 1.9, but I just feel like it will be the same **** still. The logi game is all but dead shayz. If you are not trying to be a super ninja slayer, there isnt much point to play. I play a few matches earlier to warm up for tomorrow and I was doing alright (top 5) after a few games bit I rarely broke 1k WP. Before fanfest my average was 2-3k WP per game. The scrambler isnt dead, but it is seriously lackluster to what it used to be. The range on the CR makes a ScR almost pointless to use. Ive been using the TAR as a replacement for it, but for the most part, armor damaging guns reign right now. I guess ill just have to adapt to CloakNDagger514 or leave again... I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.

I dont need to run full proto to kill other full proto enemies. I like this. The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

Beyond that, if we're all going to be running the same fits just so we can be "good" what is the point of the flexibility of the fitting system? I mean, is that really the answer? Find the most OP cheapest fit you can and then spam it until greatness is achieved? Where is the fun in that? What is the point in devoting Dev time to the assortment of mods, suits and weapons we have? Why not just have CCP delete everything except the FoTM and then we can just determined who is the best with the most ridiculous fits. A scout that flips everything at a place that isn't being carefully watched is a thing. A scout that does recon work to find enemy vehicles should be a thing. All of the game modes currently are more about 'which team can kill people the best'. I'd like to see a mode that does something along the lines of 'which team is the best at breaking into a fortified position' where the teams have to control a 'workshop' for a duration in order to produce a 'supertank' that then attempts to go wreck a ground based MCC in a fortified position. Scouts and logis spam nearly unlimited equipment, blotting out tacnet and reducing perfectly normal framerates to laggy ones, hurting only the offensive trying to breach. Then Shotgun Scouts and Sentinels handle the rest. Not even an ADS can do much to stop this, nor a scout with MD and fluxes, nor a whole offensive. Don't tell me there's anything one can do. Never before had I felt so ready to quit. Game-breaking mechanics are the bane of those seeking enjoyable matches. Give the Magsex some love.

Hum, everything seems fine to me. Oh, and I had to take exception to this. No one fears the Laser Rifle. Kill stealin'? Maybe. Assist milking? Yep. But no melted faces. I can use my Amarr Assault BPO (with 800HP) and go to town and get 5+ KD ratio in any random game. The thing is, people forget about the skill gap, that is the true enemy here. a 2 mill scout is not the same as a 40mill one. And so you know. The direct counter to a scout are Sentinels. But sadly most sentinels out there lack skill and play as one just to spray and pray with HMG's, but the few that are good have no problems whatsoever dealing with scouts....or anything in the battlefield for that matters...AND MUCH less if they run in a squad... The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....
