Well, no guarantees, as Destiny consumes much of my game time (3 warlocks and more extoics than I can level up in a single week), but what changes have come since I've been gone. Last I heard they were nerfing ADS into the ground, and vehicles in general.
So tell me, did they do the job of nerfing vehicles gameplay into the ground. Or at the very least stop nerfing it continually, and actual add diversity to the role, IE new modules, turrets ect. Or did they just give up and finally admit that vehicles don't belong in the game due to the bad diversity of play styles from pub matches.
I mean a lot of the 1.9 stuff I glanced at looked good (only 2 years late), but I worry that I would need to spend money to respec away from vehicles into something more cost effective. I mean give it to me straight, someone that does PC. Before I left, tanks were totally not needed, ADS were king (sorta, good against tanks, POOR against that FG). That gives me a good idea of how they perform in the normal pub scene.
At the very least, are tanks still terrible due to the overwhelming amount of infantry that carry AV, rendering my class useless in most instances less I play against noobs (hmmm sounds like pre 1.6).
It's quite worrisome not seeing any mention of vehicles on the forums in my brief glances through other than a few posts that mention how they are underperforming in comparison to infantry.
So should I just stick with destiny, and buy the DLC next month. Or is it worth it to try dust again or am I going to have to spend more money on this game to get a respec (spent hundreds already as a show of support, kinda don't want to support it anymore)?

Meh, gave my 2 cents many times. Seems all they care about is what those graphs and data tell them, and not how they actually perform person to person. I mean I get it, data does point out the problem, but it generally only gives you a rough idea of where it lay. (open to debate of course)
From actual performance can you truly discover where the problem lay in my opinion. Sure there was a problem with the ADS in general pub matches. But was that due to the ROF bonus and require a nerf from hell, or was is due to a lack of diversity in roles in most pub matches. IE, lack of AV support, or a lack of targeted AV (meaning AV meant for killing or disrupting dropships in particular).
As always, diversity for balance is what is missing from the equation, not a slash to ADS numbers well over 50%. Though last I heard that rat guy was satisfied with how he reduced the ADS presence to nearly 0 now matches are balanced. Or something like that lol.
Naw, I've put out what I think would be positive changes for tanks for a long time. First I mentioned that a few things need to changes with tanks to help with AV balance. And then I get super OP tanks that can fly with milita nitro.
Then tank on tank battles become something like a COD battle, 2 or 3 hits and yr dead!
Then they start changing things up so that the only way to be effective is to run 2 gunners at a time because that's the only way it can be fair.
Then AV finally grows a pair and actually tries to kill tanks and goes oh my gosh, I really can kill tanks.
Naw, just to frustrating conveying anything to CCP, they destroyed vehicles with 1.6, and have done NOTHING to remedy that. I've still hold hope for this game but it's pretty much a lost cause in my eyes. Too little, too late. Destiny may not be perfect, but at least my **** isn't getting changed continually in the name of "balance", leaving me broken and kicked to the side like trash.
