Interstellar Marine wrote:AKIRA FW is a public channel for amarr & caldari faction war
i have set this up because the channels around do not have any active fc's at least not on my timezone gmt/european or are considered a joke to the community
i can fc (not the best but good enough) taught by veterans and all round good people & players
i have been caldari standing 10 since before the dust keynote at fanfest (the exodus from the 6-7 fully organised channels setup for cfw happened soon after) im amarr standing 7 (needs work) i want to reach lv10 before the game vanishes
my corp will be recruiting if things take off, but im only recruiting fc's at this moment in time to lead people that need our help
i have read the forums everyday since i started playing, dont ask me why, i havent missed any of the haters insolence & cantankerous ways, whatever lies and Chinese whispers going around from the names that escape me, i forgive you, feel free to join too and we'll put the past behind us
1.9 is upon us and i would like to have qsyncs in afw & cfw alternating between the two to take the fight back to them as the mfw & gfw crews are also qsyncing with alliance squads & organised chat channels atm gaining free lp without opposition
with the new 1.9 update coming i feel its time to start fresh
all we need is players willing to work together, as this game was intended to be played
i hope to fight with or against you soon 07
ps: ccp is this a bolt pistol ammo crate with ammo? those rounds are HUGE! http://imgur.com/dytyx9r
We were actually talking about you in our squad the other day and how much better you were than that traitorous Imperial Marine who we were fighting against.

This. Why spread out your forces when you can all join one single channel? Preferably PIE if you're Amarr and Kirjuun if you're Caldari. If you want to join both, why not use both channels? Because Amarr1 (formerly Amarr123) has been around and been Q-Syncing for almost 6 months now. We have many people willing to step up and FC / SL when needed as well as plenty of orbital support. Moderation is also very active, all are welcome but any hint of being a spy or a troll will lead to an immediate ban. This also includes attempting to recruit for other factions as this is disruptive to our flow when people are going back and forth on what they are playing. I look forward to seeing a few new faces. o7 Hey, while I'm thinking about it, can we rename the channel Amarr one (or One)? Keep forgetting to suggest it in chat. The numerical 1 bothers my aesthetic sensibilities for some reason. Just a thought. I pronounce it as "Amarr Won"

That way we get max LP on all of them + we dont mess up our standings to other factions for playing only on 1 or 2 sides. A lot of you will want to get LP in all FW after 1.9 with that massive 750k weekly bonus youll be able to spec into pretty much every dropsuit so why not use LP from every LP store thats needed? :D Join us FW Loaylists FTW!
This is what I hate about FW currently.
You should never be able to do this. EVER.
Loyalist is a term that does not apply to your group unfortunately. Loyalist implies, as a term that more or less was defined in EVE, as a group that is primarily/ solely loyal to one faction or group and thus strive to exemplify that group.
These kinds of group are like
Ishuk-Raata Enforcement Directive - A Group of Caldari Loyalists specifically attached to Ishukone Megacorporation PIE Inc - A group that solely serve the Empire Moira and Justified Chaos, Turalyon - Gallentean Loyalists Gradient, Electus Matari and Ushra'khan- Minmatar Loyalists Shakipat Revelators - Sansha's Nation Aligned Null Sec groups

That's fine. I will still campaign for a Militia system to be introduced to Dust 514 to prevent this sort of thing however.
Regardless I at least take pride in my work for the Amarr Empire and I genuinely hope that my loyalty to that sole faction has been at one time or another or genuine service to my corporation and the extended Amarr Militia. I've also had the pleasure to serve and fight against, during our FW campaigns and weekend CTA, other dedicated loyalists who have also proven themselves to be not just great, competitive players but also loyal and worthy of trust and fair rivalry.
Those are FW players, the one who stuck with it and threw away their ISK before LP were even a concept.
o7 to those and other dedicated FW players. The game mode should be for you, not players who want to farm all their gear with no consequences.

Gotta admit there is not as much mutual respect between Dust Milita corps and EVE Mlt corps.
Probably because we've never really been forced to by circumstance work together towards a common goal.

The two working well together ended with the removal of Dust being able to select districts to assist in plexing activities. They were pushed even further apart by the current contract generation scheme which ensures Dust side can not push much past 50% making its value Eve side NOTHING. While district selection will not be possible again some sort of mechanic that brings the two back closer would go a very long ways. There are still plenty of ways more unity could be achieved without affecting mechanics in the long run any more negatively.
Deezy are you interested in co-inciding your weekend Sync's with ours. More people we can get on the field means more wins over the weekends. Specifically fights in Arzad that we need to try to cover.

One day we must also return the favours. The Empress did say that what you give to the Empire the Empire that give back unto you.

MINA Longstrike wrote:Viktor Hadah Jr wrote:Better have 5 channels with 50 guys in each that work well together and like each other rather than one channel with 250 guys all yelling over each other and butting heads. I'll agree with this, however it's very cherry picked and it is essentially a strawman. None of the active FW communities have that many players. Viktor Hadah Jr wrote:Here is an example of that, i think from your second paragraph you are just a bit ignorant of some of the things that happen in FW very often. Corps q sync'ing an entire 16 man team. If they take the battle seriously and have a FC that knows what they are doing your team will be in the redline making s'mores waiting for the battle to be over after the first 5 minutes will the enemy team picks of the few people trying to do something who still care. We have differing opinions that's why it is not a good idea to pile everyone into one chat. not everyone will get along. What you've just said here amounts to "You should have a FC because you should have an FC!" it's circular logic. Most of the people leading and gathering six man squads are more than capable of doing their own thing because almost every player is a relatively competent individual. I've hopped in to plenty of games where there were 2-4 squads that weren't communicating with each other at all vs a 16man sync and they did just fine. Dust is not such a complicated game, that it requires one person to have there finger totally on the battle's pulse and directing all the actions of every squad.
I'll agree to a certain extend Mina.
Dust is not a complex game...... but in games where Aero takes a firm hand and leads the Sync....actually in games where anyone designated leader does this victory is smoother, faster, and a dozen times more efficient.
I noted during the previous weekends Q-Syncs that we lacked central command which meant I had no idea where to be in my HAV, squads were converging on one another's AO with for no reason, and we were having to flip the same objectives several times where we previously would have been able to hold all 3 or 4 with little issue.
