No, not the main market feature. I'm talking about private player-to-player transactions. Both players would need to be online and present for the transaction to finish. This way, players can sell respecs and boosters to other players for ISK and CCP continues to get more money. We all win.
CCP, make this happen in the next update. All CCP has to do is make a GIVE ITEM option like the GIVE MONEY one and we can make our own market. And add an arum transfer thing so people can trade old BPOs for aur. The minimum requirement for this kind of feature is from the Assets, click any ISK item, "send to player" - QTY, Then at least we could have a rudimentary trust-based broker system. Scamming would obviously happen one day. Corps could manage their corp asset through a CEO or director, by having all members aggregate officer gear to them. Not saying it's happening, but if it could, this would be my preferred first baby step.
I hope this does happen, I have quite a lot of stuff i have been wanting to give my corp-mates for a long time; officer/proto weapons, suits, even bpo's that i don't use anymore. i don't quite like the idea of selling my proto gear that i don't use just for money, if i can help someone out, then I'd rather that.
edit: I'll be keeping an eye on this forum and any others that come up about trading, we really need it. |

Accept it now and educate your new players.
Hopefully the scams won't be trade window exploits. In fact I hope CCP makes trade windows require a dual lock so that if someone changes something after you lock in the window unlocks.
Scamming = YES
Mechanical exploit making cleverness unnecessary = NO
that wouldn't be a bad idea, in eve online that actually happens already. if i put something in then check accept, and the other person puts something in afterward, that check next to my name goes away and i have to hit accept again. i would figure that it would be implemented anyway. |
