Simple addition I'd love.
If you're a pilot (ADS or Normal DS), you should know you're landing gear auto deploys when a surface is near the underside of your Dropship, regardless of Angle/Trajectory. Sometimes while flying, it can deploy and clip said surface and cause unintentional damage to your Dropship, and in rare cases kill you.
So, what I propose is a button mapped to deploy/retract your Dropships landing gear, for all variants. X feels like a good match for this.
Benefits:
-Using unused buttons.
-Allows Pilots to pull more dangerous manouvers close to surfaces/ground.
-Could be used to teach Pilots that landing without landing gear, like with all aerial vehicles, is always a very bad idea, and could deal huge amounts of damage to a Dropship.
-More realistic.
-Would remove the need for the game to constantly scan terrain while flying to calculate when to auto-deploy landing gear, and quite a lot of the time retracting immiediatly. Would remove the stress on the client to constantly toggle this setting.
Disadvantages:
-Would almost certainly require a clientside update.
What do you think? Its not a neccessity, but would be a cool addition.

I was thinking about normal Dropships, running mCRUs on ADS isnt the best idea.
