I've never added it up honestly. I know it would be quite a bit. At one point, I was buying Merc packs left and right. One each week, sometimes more for around 7 months straight. That doesn't include the packs I bought for others. Not to mention the elite packs I bought. So eh, no idea.
I just know I don't regret it. I had extra money and spent it on something I enjoy.

Well...it wasnt that much until CCP heard me and gave out RESPECS for AUR...now who knows how much i've spent...i prefer not to think about it too much...

I've been mostly pleased with the 1.9 /1.10 as well as the roadmap so I spent some of the christmas cash on some Aur and a War Profiteer pack.

Between 35-40 USD. I bought a Merc pack in early '13, and a fistful of AUR shortly after.
The 15 USD I spent on BF1943 in 2009 buries that investment alive.
This is a prototype-level sig. I worked hard for it, and I'm going to use it every time. So, just get used to it.
