Iv had hate mail, but that's just broke people. People spend relative to what they can happily afford. When I get some answer min dust going to ps4 or if it is, then I'll be respeccing every month to help fund dust development.
That's over almost a 2 year period as well, its not actually that much.
Big up my friend Charlotte Shields, she won the Brazilian ju jitsu competition!.
And she's recovering from cancer!.

That's over almost a 2 year period as well, its not actually that much. Probably spent the same since early last year. I've cut back on drinking a fair bit so don't mind so much and I enjoy playing. I'm glad I can support this game and can't wait for 1.9.
Yeah defo.
Its not just in dust, but other games I get this negative attitude.
Like in warframe, iv bought all my weapons and frames, I'd not enjoy the game if I had to spend it grinding for literally weeks to get what I want.
People seem to think that not spending in a game they enjoy that relies on micro transactions is some kind of win, which is arse backwards. Fair play if people simply don't want to though, but when the sht hits the fan, they shouldn't be surprised.
Iv spent it all on boosters for a while when I started and packs and then continued spending on proto suits, weapons, equipment etc, etc.
It is nice to run proto fits that cost about as much isk as a std fit lol.
Proto sentinel with proto hmg for 4k isk anyone?.

Then there's planetside 2 lol.
I have to admit, I did spend a lot on pointless crap in that game hehe.
They nerfed my stryker missile launcher!.

That's over almost a 2 year period as well, its not actually that much. While I haven't spent anywhere near as much on dust - I agree with you in principle. a season ticket to my football team costs at least 1.5 grand. It hasn't always been that much but let's say that's what it will cost you to watch sport for 90 minutes once or twice a fortnight for a year. a grand on dust over two years? not really that much as long as you are getting value for your entertainment. if, like me, you play pretty much every other day then frankly it's value. if it's your primary source of rest and relaxation then you may go vaguely insane but you are still getting value.
My pos3 broke as well so I have to get a new one just for dust.
I am stuck with next gen on ps4 and PC, how fked up is that lol.
I am stuck with next gen, oh the sorrow, poor me lol.

But since I'm guessing it's been 2.5-3 years (really rough guess don't know exactly) since I got my closed beta invite it works out to pretty damn cheap /hr playtime. My reasoning has always been that it costs -ú40 to buy a new game. Less if you wait for a while but -ú40 if you want to get stuck in. If it's a really good game then I'll play it for months and I won't feel even slightly cheated of my cash. Just like you say - cost per hours of playtime DUST is hands down the best value I've ever experienced on ps3
That's it exactly.
Try out a FREE game, if I like it, spend x amount or as much as I need to be satisfied.
Warframe for instance, free game, figured what I want and spent about -ú60 on it.
Its better than buying a game for -ú40--ú60 quid to find out that it sht and in my opinion, better than grinding for weeks for a frame.
Some games I don't mind grinding, like dust, but some games I find it ridiculous, like warframe. You have to grind for ages for blueprints, grind for resources, then grind for more frame components and more resources, then level it up and grind for more, then grind for forma, grind, grind , grind.
OR, buy the frame and play the game and have fun but fun is subjective eh.
