I've made quite a discovery.
The Tactical sniper makes for a BRILLIANT popshot DMR.
my fitting:
'quafe' scout M-1
Tactical Sniper Rifle
Militia Ion Pistol
no nade
twin complex precisions
twin basic or militia or something range amps(might have been changed to 1 cx damp 1 enhanced range)
clack
RE or Militia nanohive
this thing is a beauty. on urban maps i can use the Tac to crouch and pop people as they turn corners, managing to land headshots <3 radar, and hten in the more... CQC areas, the Ion is a beautiful thing of happyfuntime in a box.
charge shot someone as they turn the corner, continue to round that corner away from the enemy to cool off, then spamfire in their face until you finish them, and by the end it's a gloriously gruesome image(you can almost see steam coming off of em :D)
then there's that beautiful clack, so many people tank EVERYTHING(even calscouts... WHY do i still see 300armor Ck.0s?!) that 1 damp is usually all i feel i need(never ran the numbers for recent patch) to hide from them.
also for some reason i feel as though the tac has little enough recoil to be used "reasonably" well within 20-30m engagements as long as you have time to "steady" that initial swing, and then you can work through the sway enough to land headshots <3 thanks CCP, now i have a fun thing to do that isn't running AR MK.0s with twintank!
TL:DR Tac sniping in 20-100m engagements is tasty, and very rewarding.

Haven't tried. I don't think it would suit me, haha.
I use three militia Dampeners on my 'Quafe' Scout G-I, though.
EDIT: Awesome corp name, by the way. I loved both the anime and the manga. |
