Anyway, the question is really hard to determine. In your scenario, you were a Minmatar Commando with a CR meaning you were getting up to a 10% damage bonus. If you had a Prototype CR and the enemy a Standard HMG, that changes things as well. That is before bringing in skill level like "I was headshotting him!" and "I was shooting at the floor." But I will try and play along.

I favor the Breach Scrambler Pistol at 20 yards/meters. The Ion pistol has never been that great of a weapon, even after the buffs, and I think the SP still has that ridiculously high headshot modifier that eclipses the other Pistols.

At 35 yards/meters, I favor the Combat Rifle. The HMG is getting out of it's optimal range and for a weapon that sprays bullets all over the place distance is a far larger factor than a precision weapon.

G Felix Second-Nature 77	Posted - 2014.10.30 20:46:00 - [12] - Quote I run either a Dren Sent or a Gal Sent with HMG and Breach Scrambler Pistol about 50% of the time, and I find it very effective as long as you keep targets within optimum range and don't get stranded out un the open. 35 meters is pushing it a bit, but as long as that CR isn't being wielded by a Minmando, I'd bet on the HMG. Ion pistol still underperforms vs other side arms in all but the most skilled hands. Dust can be frustrating. (Gò»°Gûí°)Gò»n+¦ Gö+GöüGö+)
