Can we get a idea of current drop rates and event drop rates? I would also like to know what the drop chances are for officer weapons.
I feel like 85% of the officer weapons I got were from the first six months after the game being released. Now it feels like my chances of getting drops are maybe one in a thousand matches.
If I play 20 matches during the event how likely am I to get anything? |

I have to agree with others that this event so far has not felt worth it. I can think of two ways they could have improved it:
1. Give us hard numbers: A % chance during event, and normally, for officer weapon drops would allow players to know whether it is worth it for them. Especially for casual players like myself who don't have time to play 20+ matches a day.
2. Increase normal loot drops even more: If on average we got at least something every 2-3 matches or so it wouldn't be as depressing. 8 matches in and all I got a grenade and a specialist sniper rifle. Especially now that we can sell assets, getting random loot I don't want/can't use gives me an excuse to try that feature out. Some people might even think paying AUR for an agent is worth while ;) |

CCP Frame wrote:We are actively looking at the data from battles and will adjust drop rate if needed of these extremely powerful weapons. Drop rate is increased by roughly 5x compared to the normal drop rate of Officer weapons. Yes, they are rare and yes drops are not guaranteed, but obtaining an Officer weapon shouldn't be something that is common within the game.
Again, we are watching numbers - both me and Rattati and will adjust if needed for next few days or for next event when we add Sidearms as well. But our data does show 5x increase of Officer drops overall on TQ.
You see, if you guys had said 5x normal drops from the beginning, that would have been great. Because then I could have looked at the fact that I've gotten, at best, 5 officer drops in the last year of playing and not gotten excited about the event.
This feels like an event where the average player will probably not benefit at all. And considering it is also timed after 1.9 I'm guessing a lot of people are using this event as an excuse to come back and try the game again. I'm one of those people. Popped an active booster and thought I'd play every day for the event. Maybe even get back into playing regularly. Haven't played since saturday morning. |
