I'm not good at figuratve language so I'll just say what it's like at the moment. It's pretty much exactly the same as it was before, except the charge-up time for each shot is now considerably longer and it has as a result made precision shots more important than getting as many body shots as you could (contrary to before). Scouts are now less likely to rush at you with BP's since their increased charge-up time makes it too risky to engage in cqc. Overall, the nerf worked better than I thought it would so I would say it's relatively "safe" to bring out your preffered sidearms to play instead of that OP MLT BP. 
DUST 514 Is the first FPS I played actively for the PS3 and is my favorite FPS to this very day. :)

I can say in all truth I did not see this coming. Why does Crowd Control hate me so?

Come on dude, when over half the enemy and allied team use the same weapon for the vast majority of the match it's pretty obvious it's an OP trend (more so in the BP's case since it was a sidearm). And that sort of stuff gets handled fast. Look on the bright side, the damage was left untouched and if you aim carefully you can still 1-2 shot most dropsuits. Now, if you still feel sad...
