Quote:- Fracture Road: Moved Objective. - Fracture Road: Changed both MCC locations to allow both teams to jump on to the pipes from the MCC. - Fracture Road: Added a Spawn Point to each team to reduce travel distance and equalize the team distances from Objective. I groan when I get Fracture Road Domination, regardless of what fit I am running. Whether you are attacking or defending, you are probably going to die a LOT if you remain close to the objective.
Then there is the fact that 95% of the time the team that holds the tower wins, and a Dropship is the only way to get up there. While I guess this is good for dedicated Dropship pilots, I have sacrificed many Dropships by jumping out of them to get onto the tower and letting them fall away pilotless. This gets expensive quickly. It also really sucks if you don't have a Dropship pilot on your team.
Hopefully the changes will make this much better.
If both teams can access the shoulder of the building via the pipes, then holding the highest ledge on the tower is not as important, so it is not as necessary to throw away Dropships to get up there. Dropships will still have an important role, but will no longer be essential for success. Only Heavy suits will be completely dependent on uplinks/Dropships to get onto the tower (they canGÇÖt jump onto the pipe linkages).
I assume that the objective is being moved to the side of the tower so that it will not be directly under either teamGÇÖs pipe. I think this will make for much more interesting game play.

I expect the new strategy will be to try to hold the enemy teamGÇÖs pipe to keep them off the tower. We had fighting on the pipes before, but it will be even more prevalent now.
So King of the Hill will be fought on three levels: -The ground level around the objective. -The shoulder of the building, where you can shoot down on the people around the objective. -The pipes, which give access to the shoulder of the building.

Actually I think it may lead to even more action. It will still be King of the Hill, only now Light and Medium frame infantry will be able to fight their way onto the tower without requiring a Dropship.
I also think that Dropships will still play an important role as a shortcut, or easier way to get onto the tower.
