This is not a new idea but one that I am brining back around as a request to have a system for passengers in a dropship to be able to queue up for a drop by clicking a button like GÇ£XGÇ¥ to ready up. When a pilot is over an objective that they want to drop queued passengers, the pilot can click the GÇ£XGÇ¥ button as well and all those mercs would drop. Pilots would then be able to do strategic timed drops with a squad, coms or not.

One of the core reasons this feature is needed is that it is almost impossible to see anything out of a dropship from the passenger seat. So thus a second request that could actually be separate from a queued drop is a button to give an outside camera view, most likely just a camera that looks downward.

 Thanks.

That would be kind of cool. I am not sure how easy of a thing that would be to do though. I will give it my white tag anyways.

This is a good idea but it doesn't solve one problem and completely ignore another.

The first is that there still needs to be some communication between the pilot and airborne. What objective do they want dropped on? What if it's on a specific tower or other location instead of an objective or installation? Can a dropship be "called for" somehow? This is still a problem that I hope gets looked at.

The other problem (last time I checked, admittedly a while ago) we are all forgetting is that when people jump out of a moving dropship, they are likely to be splattered (in games where TKing is allowed). A simple fix (probably) would be to change the "spawn" points where people end up when they leave the dropship (preferably far enough out the side that a dropship going straight won't hit them). This has been a problem ever since 1.7 iirc, and has really crippled my favorite use for dropship: HotDropping.

Actually, i think it solves problem 1 and mitigates problem 2
This feature would be a way for the pilot and passenger to communicate without actually being able to talk.
It also means that if the passenger is unaware of the fact that he will be splattered if he jumps now, the pilot is aware that the passenger wants to jump and can slow down to a safe speed before allowing the passenger to jump out.

I'd like if people in the ship could put a 'marker' on the map where they want to be dropped, then I can fly over it and press a button that puts a symbol on their screen telling them it's time to get the **** out.

I would also like a button that empties the ship, yes you might get dumped in the redzone by a tard (or me if you've pissed me off) but that will help you determine the useful pilots from the shitheads.

The rally command does the trick... if they could add that for everyone and make it so it highlights the teammate who's pressed it, stick a blue/green/purple/something symbol around them, that would make piloting a lot better.

The empty dropship button, maybe if your dropship is on the ground and not in the rea zone, you can hold down X for a certain amount of time, it forces everyone out and locks the ship again like it was just called in, that way you could force them out, take off again but by not allowing the feature why in the air and in the red zone, it would remove possible abuse of the feature.

That way "X" works in the air as a deploy queued users and on the ground as a way to force people out if you want the ship empty.

You can stop the splatter by allowing inertia dampeners to be activated the moment someone jumps from the ship

I for one would prefer a way to get afk trolls out of my ship other than parking next to reds and hoping they shoot the idiots out, like i do now

would it also kick out gunners, or just passangers? because when i fly solo, i tent to let any blueberry who spawn use the turret. i find that its better than just letting it sit empty. Id rather not kick out a good gunner just because someone is sitting AFK in one of the passanger seats. but other than that, i like this suggestion. it allows for communication where there isnt any now.

I think this is a brilliant idea (even though several people have suggested similar ideas such as me)
