I have three logi suits glued to the top that are *Hives, Uplinks, and Remotes and then my suits start. They are somewhat organized by role and then what gun they have. |

If literal, I use a complicated number/letter system. If 'names' of things, when I started Dust my Assault was "Murderer", and Heavy was "Fat Murderer"

Firstly, numbered:
1-9 = Scout Suits
10-19 = Logis
20-29 = Sentinels
30-39 = Commandos
40-49 = Assaults
50-59 = Speciality (Sniper, Dual Swarm, Lolfits)
60-89 = Unused
90-99 Situationally Special (New fits, Logi fits for certain Sentinels, my beginning of match Uplinks)
Of course, not every number is used, with the rare basic suits at the beginning and Protos at the end of the number sequence.
From there, simple system of "(Basic/Advanced/Proto suit),(Weapon(s)),(EQ, formatted by single letter per piece)-Cost rounded up.
If you find an issue and I stumble upon your thread, I will do my darnedest to get the issue known.

I name my HMG fit Snorlax and my Amaar Logi with proto uplinks " Uplink Jesus ". Other than that I have " Scrub Removal " my proto SG scout to remove annoying pricks. I have many other cool names. I name all my fits something cool.

The way I name them is rather straight forward:
Weapon - Armour OR Shield
Which means I have two fittings for each light weapon I have. The armour version is Assault gk.0 and the shield version is Assault ck.0. Needless to say I run Assault suits a lot now because they take up so many fitting slots.
The exceptions being non-assault suits, the first of which is my start of the game fitting, which I call:

Example of how I name my suits:
A gk.0:13/476 CS PBAR FA/RT 184
GÇó "A" (class of suit A = assault, S = scout, H = sentinel, C = commando, L = logi)
GÇó "gk.0" (Prety obvious; other designations are: G-1 and G/1-S)
GÇó ":13/476" ( this particular suit takes 13 seconds to repair 476 armor - from 0 to full armor)
GÇó "CS" (means "combat sniper" the designation I give my mid range weapons; other designations are CQB, Spec Ops, hyb, SMd, CMd, GS, LINK, mlt)
GÇó "PBAR" (Prototype Breach Assault Rifle)
GÇó "FA" (means "full assault" this designation is only given to fittings with damage mods, no damage mods, no designation)
GÇó "RT" (means "repair tank" other designations are "AT" and "ST")
GÇó "184" (cost of suit in thousands, this particular suit costs exactly 183,690 isk)

My most important suits get names
How I organise them:
Say we have Amarr Logistics A-1.
I'd put "AL-1" As it stands for Amarr Logistics and then the number that states the version of the suit.
If it was advanced or so I'd do "AL/1"
After that I put a real name.
An example: I call scouts light assault because they've no role and have pure offensive power.
So I call my amarr scout Light Assault Amarr-1 "LAA-1" and It's a uplink and nanohive triage fit
I call it "Death Anathema"
Anathema means to vehemently disagree or dislike something.
The death is there so it translates to "Vehement dislike of death"
I called it that because of how I brick tanked the amarr scout suit for survivability.
SO MUCH MEANING YET I HARDLY USE THE SUIT :/
But yes this is rather a habit I do than me actually thinking stuff up to name the suits.
Stealth, nova knives, and precision weapons being used in CQC here shows that sci-fi gamedevs don't know true warfare.

All my vehicles have names of the monsters from Godzilla movies. And I have a Assault MK.0 with a Balac's or Krin'sI call it Oreo, because it's all black and white. I have a proto heavy that's named Krispy Kreme. And lots of other names for suits.
It's not about how much sheild and armor you stack to win. It's how you use the suit to win.

I don't have a consistent naming scheme like some of the other folks have although I do follow similar naming scheme by putting numbers in the front so they appear in my list in a certain order and used abbreviations to denote equipment. Thta being said I do have a couple of suits that I like and thus gave them a special name.
1) logi BC 1 - gallente logi used to start a PC battle In spanish PC is BC
2) logi BC 2 - same as above but, to be used for the rest of the PC
3) Michone - assault logi pretty much same as above except it has damage modifiers
4) La Negrita - caldari proto scout. La Negrita means little black one (roughly translated). Usually is meant as a feisty fiery small black female.
5) El Cheapo - Basic caldary or minmatar scout used for skirmishes and general play. Costs 21,000 isk or less thus the name
6) Bishop - basic Ammar assault. The idea was that when I got to advance I would called it Cardinal and proto would be Knights Templar. I'm not much of an assault guy so I may delete this one.
7) run fast - minmatar scout used to start Dominations battles. Pretty much it has 2 complex kinkat and drop links.
8) run hide - minmatar scout that pretty much runs and hide. Mostly for capturing objectives and dropping uplinks.
9) zSomething - any suit that starts with a Z means that it is an experimental suit. example zM/1 experimental minmatar setup.
10) Pink Floyd. Caldari scout quafe suit.
11) Pink Floyd S - sames as #10 but with a shotgun.
memorable mention goes to The District Attorney. This was a caldari scout suit that was brick tanked. The thing is that I was experimenting with some setups and naming conventions so I named it DA. Problem is that as I started making changes I forgot what the D and the A stood for but, DA is short for district attorney at least on tv. I used to use this one when I needed to kill a lot by brute force.
My wife has at least 2 suits with names
1) prirate - minmatar scouts using for hacking
2) swarmy bi tch - not sure what suit this is but it has swarm launchers |

BlahBlahBlah is a few shorthand abbreviations, like "GANG B-HMG" letting me know it has a Burst HMG and no regen requiring a logibro, or "HIVE ARR" for Nanohive Assault Rail Rifle. So in the end I usually have something look like, for example: "V-1-A A-FG" for an anti-vehicle, proto level suit with AV nades with an Assault Forge.
This allows me to quickly find what I need in literally a second, which I need with 30 different fittings for every occasion.
For vehicles I gives them a specific cheesy name and a number rounded to the Ks for the cost

Advanced is from 0.7 - 0.4
and prototype level stuff is from 0.4 - 0.0.
My K/D stays about the same no matter what tier I'm in, it just adds a personal feeling of immersion and role play for me.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.
