I was thinking about the problems we Amarr logis have fitting Amarr weaponry due to the PG deficiency the suit has. I really want to start using the AScR again one it gets buffed, but it's going to require some significant sacrifices in my equipment (no I don't brick tank) The obvious fix to that would be to just buff the suits PG of course, but the eternal derp oh noes slayerlogi crowd is tough to overcome.
So then I'm thinking, well, maybe a bonus to fitting reduction for Amarr weapons? But why just for that suit, right? Well, because it has scheit PG, but I digress.
Why not put a fithing reduction bonus to racial weapons on all suits? Furthermore, you could add it to the basic frame skill, not just the specialist suit. That way:
- you actually get something for those skills
- it adds a little something extra to the basic frames themselves.
- encourages racially themed fittings
Doesn't have to be much, not more than the fitting optimization, nothing OP. Something like:
Amarr medium dropsuits: -1% to CPU/PG cost of laser weaponry per level. Applies to basic medium frames, logistics frames, and assault frames.
Rinse and repeat with Caldari and rails, etc. You can do this with mediums, probably lights, but not heavies because there are only 2 heavy weapons so it would not be balanced, I guess you could add it to commandos separately if you wanted.
Question 1: Is this feasible, devs?
Question 2: what do people think of the idea/concept, if not the exact numbers?

If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

1% is too low, any less than 3% doesn't help at all.
Other than that, totally on board.
Proof that Rattati/CCP do listen to the playerbase.

Very true, but it requires a huge SP investment, even with the Amarr and their paltry selection of weapons. The Gallente or Caldari? Crazy. It's also available to anyone, not just someone who skills into the racially themed items together. That's part of what I'm trying to do. Not so much make it easier to fit weapons, but to fit racially appropriate weapons.

I have no problem with that, I started low to keep the proposal modest. Let's bump it up to 3 then.
