This is an alt of someone who's been around since open beta. After playing for so long I decided to throw myself through the fire once more and see how things have changed for the newbros. After going back to what I ran in Chromosome (AR + Gallente scout, no cloak) I decided to do something odd once I was no longer stomping scrubs in the academy (by the way, the quality of newblood we're getting is rather depressing). To atone for my scrubbery and noobstomping sins, I threw myself directly in FW.
Much to my surprise, I was able hold my own much better there than in the sharktank that is Pubs. Besides the 2 times that we got qsync'd squads against us, whatever team I was on was winning and I was making it into the top four on the leaderboard 80% of the time. With just 750,000 sp, some federation scout g-1's and a breach AR (I mis the good old days of having std variants of all the ar's) I was holding my own pretty well.
On that note, anyone know of any corps that are dedicated to Gallente FW? |

Oh I ended up slapping the gold off the Amarr too, but sadly you're right. Calberries aren't up to snuff and it shows. It was more of a statement on how the middle ground of competitive matches seem to be easier on those with less sp rather than the entry level that is supposed to be pubs, at least as far as Min and Gal are concerned.
As far as scouts be OP.....I'm not even skilled into scouts, for better or worse. Got light frames, damp, range, passive shield /armor and precision to 2 and AR's to 3.
Even ended up run militia heavy with a mlt HMG and Assault as well. It saddens me to say Caldari need to step it up a notch.
P.S. Popping tanks with a Militia PLC induces maniacal giggle fits out of me. |

Huh...I didn't know they made dueling sniper rifles. Are those like dueling pistols, twenty paces and turn around and all that?
Then again 40-0 isn't surprising when you're cowering on top of the MCC with dual Thales's and a commando suit. |
