Hi. I was wondering if someone could explain to me the differences between the GB-9 Breach Assault Rifle and the CreoDron Breach Assault Rifle. I know that one is advance and the other prototype, and that the latest does a little bit more damage, but thats it? I mean, the difference in isk is huge, so there must be something else that makes the CreoDron an amazing weapon... right? I guess that what I want to know is if it is worth to pay the isk for creodron. Thank you. |

The difference isn't nearly as large as the pricetag.
Slight damage advantage (61.03 vs 63.94).
Slight accuracy advantage (57.31 vs 57.85).
Large cost difference.
All other stats are the same.
The advanced version is quite good. If you can kill with it, you will find killing with the prototype only slightly easier (~5%). |

The real benefit of getting a weapon to proto is that it unlocks the proficiency skill which will increase your damage signiicantly. Proto weapons are only really useful in planetary conquest.
You can't fight in here! This is the war room.

proto dropsuits and modules are worth more than the jump from ADV to PRO on weapons
EVE Online is what you get when engineers attempt to create "fun" without consulting someone who comprehends the word.

Sometimes prototype gear are not worth anything if they don't break a damage margin/are over a good damage margin
Advanced breach AR is well over a good damage margin.
Prototype breach AR just has a pathetic damage increase or so, which is a good thing. You'd be better off using damage mods

There's no advantage other than the slight damage increase.
I only use it for the branding.

Another question. Lately I have been reading the forums and people is talking about the slayers and all that, and so, what is considered a slayer? In the last weeks I have been playing as assault and killing at least six clones per match, if it is a good match around twelve, while I die once or twice, if its a bad match I die like five times. I consider that a good level, maybe not amazing, but good, and yet Im not always on the top five (sometimes I am) because of the war points. So, the question; -+what really makes someone a good slayer and makes him earn isk and wp? |

Slayers, as the term is typically used, signify folks that kill people really well. Think 20+, 30+, 40+ kills per pub match.
War Points are quite different. You get them for killing, but also doing all kinds of other things, so non-Slayers (specifically Vehicles, AV, and Logies) can compete in terms of gaining war points.
ISK is, from what I understand, more a function of what you kill on the other team, your relative number of WP, and how long you were in battle. I don't know that the exact formula has been released.
Hope this helps...Leadfoot

Unless slayers are really good at headshots. They won't get nearly as much WP as a logi. Of course you can't win matches if you don't kill the enemy. So being a slayer is not bad if your aiming is good and you can read battlefield or just have good awareness on where to fight or flank.
A heavy sentinel slayer and proper logi support CAN BE and IS the ultimate weapon on DUST.

well, I guess, but its difficult to get a lot of WP by just killing. For example, if I kill 10 clones, I only get 500 WP, 600 WP if all the kills are headshots, but I know a friend who becomes a parasite with his repair tool and needle and gets over 1500 WP without a single kill and with lots of deaths. Dont get me wrong, I like to play the asault and kill, but its frustrating not to get so many WP as others even when you feel you contribute more than them. |
