I have to say, just joined Y.A.M.A.H, and it has been an interesting and awesome experience. I would like to thank Wishtafas for inviting and I am looking forward to becoming an asset to Y.A.M.A.H upon the battlefield.

Killar-12 wrote:So... Maybe the better question, what does your corp have to offer that other corps do not?
In reality: nothing.
Y.A.M.A.H can't offer anything which another Corp couldn't offer, yet what is offered -I have learned from experience- Wishtafas Ragnarsson and the other core members pursue vehemently to accomplish. Which is ultimately forge a corporation where each corp member is valued no matter how skilled or how terrible. Sure, it sounds as cheesy as the plot to a 1980's Saturday Morning cartoon, but in Y.A.M.A.H, even though all these blokes are all strangers to me and I doubt we would have been friends outside of the game, when I log in and meet up with the group it feels like I am hanging out with some old buddies which I had known all my life.
That's what Y.A.M.A.H can offer.
Can it be offered elsewhere? Sure.
But in Y.A.M.A.H it just feels natural.

I say yes, but you must feature yours truly in all his glorious-ness.

Sellene Starfire wrote:Alrighty it is a go then...first off I will need your character's full name, faction, specialty suit and weapon of choice. This will help me greatly in my brainstorming of ideas and getting started on structuring the story. Yes I already know what most of you like to play and run with but you can decided to keep your character's name or change it along with what you would think would be cool to have. For what I'm thinking it would be great if everyone would choose a different role for in a squad, it will make it easier but I can also add in filler characters. A variety of personalities and roles always makes for a great story along with lots of conflict! And of course we cannot forget the enemy, I need to know what corporation is our enemy number one, and also who their CEO is!!!! (if we want to add a little bit more fun to the mix ) So far hear is my list of feature characters: Wish Sned Jofur Leafar Abraxsas Fatlaser Yours truely It would help if we could get more people from the corporation to get on the forums to post or if one of you guys could help and post on here for them. Keep in touch and : May Y.A.M.A.H. be with you!

GÇ£When that Sarum ***** unloaded the terran weapon, the Titan barely had a jump gate available. Most ships never made it through...
The Hearth Ember -luckily or unluckily- just happened to be floating at the right place at the right time and its rent hull was pulled through in the wake of the gaping maw. Most of the crew was dead. I myself clung to life, although it was perverse concept of living. I was rotting away within a mangled husk of a body. I was dead; my stupid pride just couldnGÇÖt accept that fact.
After MekhiosGǪGǥ
He turned his attention to his hands, which he brought over the table, and held them before him as if in fascination. It should be noted that only the intricate tattoos that ran down over his right arm marred his otherwise unblemished skin.
GÇ£You know those moments when you dream and you realize that the dream isnGÇÖt a dream but something more? Like seemingly dying and going to paradise? And when you realize that the dream is in fact a dream and you begin to awaken, you struggle to return to the dream because the real world is just a bleak and barren excuse for an existence most living it donGÇÖt want? I awoke one day. The leathery and creased face of the old brutor hovered over me; his smile although welcoming felt strange, like the snarl of a predator before a death dealing strike. I donGÇÖt remember much, yet in short I was emerged within vat which contained a pale-rose hued fluid GÇôamniotic fluid. When I was pulled forth from the amniotic fluid vat, the old brutor stated something that has been embedded into my mind ever since, GÇ£tul raok armok armok raok tul!GÇ¥ It translates to GÇÿWe burden our breath, our breath burdens us.GÇÖ I have burdened a many hours pondering the words of the sanmatar. In its basic context the phrase just states it is all the same, yet in what context did the old brutor mean as I emerged forth from immortal project?
I donGÇÖt know, nor will I waste your time in attempting to decipher it.
But I believeGǪ " The man falls silent. He becomes lost within his troubled thoughts.
"Recall when I mentioned that I was a murderer?" He began turning his attention back towards me. "Immortal, what does it mean? I guess it depends who you ask. Amarr, belligerent fools, have stated in propaganda that 'immortals are the chosen warriors of God." I guess the others have their own twisted opinions in the matter. Yet, in the end I have realized Immortals are just murderers. We, in these false skins, are an engineered plague whose true purpose is to purge the flaws from the concept of what our leaders believe New Eden to be. In the end we are expected to kill and be killed -mercilessly and without any expectation of tears to be shed in our demise.
Although, I have come to realize that we canGÇÖt be taken under sway by the very nature of our existential being. We, liken to molten metal within the flames of a forge, can be reformed and wrought once again. We can forge our own destinies. Regardless of which faction an immortal sells their soul for life eternal or what passion stirs them to struggle in the flames of war, it was a decision which that individual -immortal or otherwise- choose.
In the end it is like the old brutor stated GÇ£it is all the same.GÇ¥
In our turbulent times, the only thing that matters shall be our own choices and the personal convictions we pay in order to make those choices.
Which path do we choose?GÇ¥
He brought his hands down on the table and lifted himself; rising from his chair. I urged him to stay, yet my attempts were in vain. As he turned his back to me making his path out of the room, I knew I would never meet the man again.
Thus ends my interview with Jofur Mur.

@ Sellene
Thanks. Yet, you should probably keep the pen as it isn't useful in DUST514. I was a writer once and then I took the barrage of Heavy Machine Gun fire to the knee.
@ Wishtafas
I wouldn't declare it poetry, just some crappy backstory I wrote for my character. Yet, I appreciate the fact that you enjoyed it.
**Now here's an excerpt from Sellene Starfire's upincoming DUST514 Fanfic*
Aspects of the weapon pulsated with a dull light as the engines within shrilled, amplifying with volume, with the passing of each second -it was charging. It would take but a moment before it was ready to be discharged, yet when it was ready then his enemies would have hell to pay.
Sned counted the seconds.
"10..."
He was crouched alongside a rustic stone wall which defined the border of a ledge. Beyond the wall the earth dropped severely until several hundred feet below it met with a arid basin where water had once collected. A bridge, an artifact which remained from a time when those who populated this remote region traversed its stone face in order to cross the now forgotten body of water, loomed despairingly within the distance.
"5..."
It was that bridge the enemy had chosen to use in order to flank their forces. Sned had realized this potential flaw in the defense of the mining compound since he had first arrived and recognized the inherent need in having to defend it -or destroy it be it necessary. It was for that very reason that he and his companions were selected in order to carry out the mission of guarding the bridge.
"3..."
The enemy forces were arrogant. They had swollen the bridge with a procession of HAVs and LAVs and didn't recognize the error of decision. Sned considered that perhaps the enemy assumed that the forces they contested with wouldn't have realized the severity of the bridge. What is it they say about assuming?
Sned smiled. He lifted himself from the ground and took aim at the main pillar of the worn bridge. The machine sung in agreement to Sned's actions.
"1." Sned said. Sned began to pull upon the trigger.
"Sned, do you need some repairing or healing buddy?" Jofur asked.
Frightened by Jofur's unexpected presence Sned turned to face Jofur. The barrel of his elated Plasma Gun.
...
All that was left of Jofur was a pair of smoldering boots.
**It continues in Sellene Starfire's DUST514 Fanfiction.**

Sellene Starfire wrote:Well I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I had fun writing this, and unfortunately I won't be on probably much this weekend due to work.... . But I will continue to brainstorm the next adventure. Please spread the news that I have posted in the forums and I would love to hear everyone's opinions on it too!
You have captured us perfectly (Just remember the part where Sned shoots people in the back). Sned and I began reading the story out loud to everyone in the YAMAH Corp chat; I have to admit it was pretty cool. Maybe after you write a short novel based upon the YAMAH misadventures we could get in contact with Audible Books and record the reading.
As far as my critiques are concerned: after an intense firefight - or after someone dies a few times- switch Jofur up for MINMATAR HEAVY with a Heavy Machine Gun (since there seems to be too many healers and not enough fire power). Plus note that Jofur's Heavy Machine Gun Is literally a hodge-podge of rusted and worn Heavy Machine Gun parts held together by duct tape and hope... Hence it often easily gets jammed or overheated. It is an issue which causes the naive-to-combat Jofur to run into a firefight and attempt to melee people to death. It might not be advantageous but that's what this Minmatar does...
Aside from all of that excellent writing and captivating story. Please continue this.

Michael Epic wrote:Honestly, I got on once and played with one of your guys. He seemed pretty cool but every time I get on your public channel, there's no one forming squads or really anyone in the room. I mean there might be 12-15 but there's a lot of other corps...
So I'll ask you the questions I asked another corp on their thread...
How many active players do you have? How often are they on?
What does your corp channel look like on a Friday or Saturday night?
Mr. Epic,
I do apologize if within our Public Channel our corp has seemed rather estranged, yet this isn't without reason or blatant. Y.A.M.A.H is often host to several members at any given time (only in the wee hours of the morning when ghosts still have time to dance 'ere the coming of dawn shall you find us empty-at times). During these moments our camaraderie leads us to join arms in battle and fling ourselves into battle with the giddiness of children on the verge of entering a theme park where rodents are host. For this reason we often overlook the folk who are traversing the Public Channel. Again, sincerest apologies.
As for your other questions:
1. We are normally twenty strong during our peak hours -this estimate is known to fluctuate- which is everyday usually between 3:00PM EST till 1:00AM EST.
2. Our Corp Channel is a menagerie of jokes, jests, jabs, compliments, discussions, giggles, chuckles, laughs, cheers, revelry, disputes over fungal infection and NutraSystem, and peppered with the sweet tone of Sned the Dead's sympathetic voice. There is more to add to the list, yet in doing so would take sometime, and I feel the desire to melee something to death ATM.
Thus, Mr. Epic, I hope you can forgive Y.A.M.A.H for it's faults in not being better hosts within our Public Channel and I do hope you consider in joining us within Y.A.M.A.H
