Plus, with skills at V, you will have a scan range of 15m. Compare that to the base scout range of 20m... 30m with skills at V. EWAR on assault is basically useless. The challenge, of course, is that the scouts see which way we're facing as they plan their approach. We never see the good ones coming, and our eyes don't factor into the equation.

As a result it becomes hard to hit in CQC (similar to any speed scout and often misinterpreted as the Cal Scout hitbox myth). The Min Assault's huge EWAR disadvantage still puts it well below the scout suit in virtually all situations. In other words, if a min assault can do it, a scout can do it better.

You'll probably pick up any mediums or heavies without one, and it's not going to help you scan scouts. If you want some CQC EWAR you'd be better off with a range extender or profile dampener.
