After playing around with it, I've come to realize that Scouts aren't my biggest threats: rifles are.
The only time I died to an SG Scout was when I wasn't moving. I had given him enough time to close the distance and perform surprise butt sex on me from behind. However, while in full sprint and with very little wait times in between bursts, I've managed to tank most initial SG hits and fire back with a few shots of my own.
The 700+ ehp and sprint speed really help in avoiding OHKOs from cloaked CQC Scouts. If I keep running, I'm perfectly fine. However, having no cloak nor eWar modules leaves me open to anyone with a rifle who spots me from a distance. I have to run for dear life and hope I'm not tracked as I wait for my shields and armor to come back--which do so relatively fast.
One other point is that most pub Scouts are slow. I don't know why, but they just are. I can only assume that they're lacking in Biotics and Kinetic Catalyzation, or that brick and eWar tanking is holding them back from slapping on some KinCats of their own.
In all, this is just a cheap fun fit. I could run my Scout ck.0/gk.0 fits that have similar speed and eHP, but they wouldn't be as fun to use. |
