Today, well look at the three most useless modules in Dust.
#1. PG upgrades--They take up CPU, go in low slots, and really don't do much for you PG wise To Fix: Make them a high slot item, make them modify armor repair by a SMALL %, and make them not take any CPU.
#2 Myofibril Stimulants--They modify melee, perhaps the most underwhelming stat in the game To Fix: These mods are made for the ultimate CQC fighter. So, perhaps adding a reload speed bonus to them would help. Probably the same as the melee damage bonus (makes them super useful, esp. to heavies)
#3 CPU upgrades-- All the do is give you bonus CPU, meant to be used in conjunction with CPU intensive shields To Fix: Add a SMALL shield recharge rate bonus
Thanks for reading, sorry if its somewhat incoherent.

PG modules should be % based like CPU modules so that they benefit all suits proportionally. CPU modules are not useless. |

CPU Modules and PG modules are not useless. People have decided to fit items that don't require you to break the base PG and CPU of the suits,
I found some use on my adv and pro min assault if i decide for example to use my highslots for all shield and damage modules with no rechargers. i can fit some interesting items with the excess cpu (no shield recharge/energizers). A pg module make take only a bit of my excess cpu and give quite a decent pg boost. I can fit some proto triage hives on my assault or just for more pg intensive fittings. I can fit an assault mass driver and ishukune nanohives for the ultimate supply for my bombard/anti-zerg fittings
Same goes for CPU upgrades if one decides to some crazy recharge modules basically the caldari trump card. I bet if someone really wanted to they could fix 2 or 3 complex shield recharger/energizers and combined with stack shield regulators could get 100 hp shield regen rate with a shield delay of less than 2 seconds...which could be a real issue...Unfortunately not many people have decided to experiment to that degree....cpu mods would be helpful there
The modules aren't used much but that doesn't mean they are useless....it just shows how much the community is unwilling to think outside the box or the EHP>ALL mindset.

You can make some theoretically amazingly obnoxious fits on calsents if you pop in a CPU booster at even the militia level.

CPU upgrades are useful. PG upgrades not so much, I can't recall using one on any of my fits pretty much ever.
Myofibrils... lol.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

You see in EVE Online people use PG / CPU mods fairly often because they enable you to really make wacky, powerful yet situational fits.
Here in DUST we really cant do the same. At best you might squeeze on an extra few % of hit points or something stupid like that but its pretty much not worth it at all. I think the only time I have ever even looked at them or used them is on my Python fitting as its pretty much mandatory (however that leads to a different subject)

I wonder if I can stack 4 regen mods in the sentinel highs.
I wonder if it will be as hilarious as it is in my mind.
TIME TO TEST THIS

I use PG modules on my Logi fits all the time. Very useful to fit only the very best of equipment. 116 PG FTW.

There's one big mishap in the suggestion. It is assuming that a module with no fitting costs would be good for game.
PG mods definately should have their cpu post.
And, CPU mods definately should be fixed to have PG cost, even minimal.
There is no balancing factor and no incentive not to use complex version. Remember, isk balancing is no gameplay balancing.
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

I use PG modules on Amarr Logistics suits sometimes, and they are not useless. Amarr Logistcs suits have a decreased powergrid, so I usually just use some electronic warfare modules, but If someone in a heavy suit requests my presence, then I'll instead use a power grid module, so I can fill all my slots with shield and armor modules.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

Myofibril stimulants are underwhelming because melee sucks in this game. For some reason melee damage isn't registered until the full animation has taken place. So you could be standing in front of me and I could start a melee 8 meters away from you and have it hit, but conversely I could start a melee right next to you and could back up slightly and miss. It doesn't help that the animations don't match up correctly for when the melee is actually registered.

#1 - PG upgrade mods are extremely useful to me. I think they should stay low slot, but not take any CPU. #2 - Good idea! #3 - I think CPU upgrade mods should be high slot; sometimes I need to use a CPU mod to counter-balance a PG mod, then I run out of low slots.

CPU and PG Upgrades are useful for niche fittings, the only problem is that as opposed to removing a slot from your Dropsuit it would be much more effective to downgrade some of your modules to fit another one.
