Is it just me or do OBs not hit where you designate? To give an example, I intended to drop an OB on a Proto sniper (there was nothing else worthy of striking) who was perched on one of those towers like the ones in Line Harvest. So I opened up the map and zoomed in to him. He was certainly in the middle of the strike circle. The strike deploys, but off to the side of the tower, and he lives. A similar thing happened in two Doms afterwards. Is anyone else having a similar problem? I have a sneaky suspicion that it might be something to do with zooming in, it seems to 'unalign' the designed strike location from where it actually deploys. Do you zoom in when you select a strike location? Should I not be zooming in? Thx o7

Zoom all the way in, and try to get the marker on the middle of the map so that you know that's where it is going to land.
... or get used to it. |

The problem is the flat 2d cursor represents a point in the sky high above where its going to hit, and because of the map's wonky perspective what looks like the cursor being right on the target can actually be dozens of meters to one side. This is especially noticeable when the cursor is near the edge of the screen
Also, yes, zooming in can shove the cursor away from where it was aiming, because it doesn't want to go off the screen.
What I did for maximum precision was zoom in to find my target first, then zoom out a moderate amount to place the cursor above it and roughly centered on my screen, then I wiggled the camera around a bit to make sure the cursor was above the target.
Its a bit hard to explain, but you can practice it right now. Just load up a battle and open the map with the d-pad, you don't need an orbital to get the cursor to appear. Pay close attention to how the cursor behaves while you move the map camera around, keep in mind its representing a 3d point in space above the battlefield, and try getting it to stay over points of interest like buildings and control points while you move your view around, then pretend you just sent the order to nuke that place to hell.

MrShooter nailed the issue. Here's how I solve for the perspective issue....
Align a building with some height so it is not leaning, then your orbital will land exactly where you point. If there's some perspective, and a building is leaning one way or the other, you're shot will be off in opposite direction. |

Solution 1) Ask Duna2002. Solution 2) Move to France, make a contract with a local ISP, close your eyes and launch it randomly, don't worry of buildings, french splash will kill anything in at least a km (3/5 miles more or less if you use strange mesaures).
