So this morning I played a couple of Ambush matches before going to work and one of them was a real beauty, the real gem for me occurred when I got pissed off at a team mate and was able to troll him a little.
The battle took place on one of the bridge maps. At the beginning, both teams were deployed in the same complex on one side of the bridge. The opposing team took a quick 20 clone lead as they brought in a dropship and set some uplinks on top of the buildings in the complex. Our whole team then regrouped on the bridge and hunkered down to fend off their assault. The opposing team put up a great effort to take the bridge but they were unable to and they suffered enough losses in the process to have the gap in clones closed. They then broke off their assault, retired back to the complex and the game went down to the wire. We ended up losing a very close battle.
So back to the blueberry that pissed me off...
While we were holding off the assault on the bridge. I positioned myself on the platform that hosts the supply depot. I'm doing my solo logi thing (alternating between repping team-mates while my shields and armor are low and shooting when they are at full strength). At some point in the fire fight I managed to get a great line of sight through one of the slits in the wall at a mass of red-berries at the edge of the bridge. So I'm taking shots at these "fish in a barrel" and getting kills in quick succession when all of a sudden a @#$# blueberry squeezes himself right in front of me and scoops my spot and prevents me from getting shots off. After a few seconds of this I'm getting pissed and wishing this was a FW so that I could off this dude. Not being able to do that, I proceeded to the next best option. I basically pinned him there and prevented him from moving back and waited for the red-berries to take care of him. Sure enough, about 2 seconds later, he takes a few shots and tries to get out of the way but no dice and down he goes. So I take my spot back, get a few more kills before the red-berries get wise to this and retreat.
At this point I notice that this blueberry still hasn't re-spawned in and I decided to pick this guy up just to show him there are no hard feelings. So I pick him up and he instantly gets sniped. This was one of those very satisfying 20 seconds stretch of DUST and it started off my day on a great note.
How do you kill that which has no life?
